The original belt was a Bando 799-19-28. I ran that belt till it was half it's width. It never snapped but I was stuck driving 25 mph. I'm trying this longer belt now. I've noticed my pickup is a bit slow, expected behavior though with it being a longer belt. Top speed right now is about 40mph but I think I have a vacuum leak somewhere so I won't hold that against this belt yet. I have a Gates belt coming in that I will compare this belt to. I will report back. I installed this belt after my shift at work and It got me home alright. So for that it gets 5 stars. I've since put over 100 miles on running deliveries. I'll check the wear in a couple of days once I receive the Bando Belt and let everyone know if it's holding up. Update, About 4 days and 300 miles after installing I went ahead and put the Gates belt of the same size on. This belt showed very minimal wear, Looked almost new, but comparing it to the Gates belt, I noticed it's depth is thicker than the Gates belt Width and angle are the same. I can go an extra 5mph on the gates due to it's design. I think I will need to source the original size belt, though, as I think that is what is holding the scooter back from hitting its top speed of 55-60mph. Just to be clear though, there was nothing wrong with this belt when I took it off so can't knock it for the price it seems okay, just carry an extra with you just in case or go Gates or Bando. I wish my original belt was a more common size, sigh, It's harder to source these days at a reasonable price. I took the valve cover off of my bike yesterday and noticed the timing was off by a tooth or two. My bike runs awesome now that the timing is correct. I've clocked the bike running a 52mph now with no weird bogging issues. This is more expected behavior for this bike. I have the correct sized belt on order and will report back on my findings. If the mph is the same on the original belt size I may put this belt back on and see how long it lasts. Stay tuned. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Middle priced, middle quality *by M***K on May 26, 2025* These belts don't seem to last very long. However, they lasted quite a bit longer than the $8 no-name belts. They lasted a few days. The Glixal belts lasted a couple months. Considering the hell of abuse and beating I'm somewhat impressed. I don't know if I would have had any better luck with the Grape's Powerstink belt for twice the price. I might have given it 5 stars if it had some brightly colored lettering on it to look cool spinning around the pullies in my transmission. Shipping was sufficiently quick. The only problem I ran into was when I opened the box the belts were the wrong size. This was entirely my fault. I clicked without double checking what I was buying. I needed a 842 and ended up getting a 835. Those 7mm make a big difference and throw of my carefully tuned transmission. 🤬 Entirely my fault.
