This machine will work in Australia as it is 240 volts but will come with a UK TYPE G PLUG and will have to be changed in order to fit our wall sockets, you could also purchase a UK to AU travel plug adapter which also does the job for about $10 AU dollars.

Much better than I expected if paired with a good vacuum very little dust to room. I used Bosch appliance vacuum for tools and it works very well especially with the auto start. Cutting depth is easy to set and using the spacers for the twin cutting discs it comes with is logical and self explanatory.

As a DIY enthusiast, tackling electrical projects often meant wrestling with bulky tools and uneven results. But then I discovered the Metabo MFE40 Wall Chaser, and let me tell you, it's a game changer. This powerful machine is like a jackhammer with finesse, carving clean channels through concrete walls with impressive precision. Powerhouse Performance: Don't let the 125mm cutting disc fool you. The MFE40 packs a serious 1900W punch, effortlessly gliding through concrete and brick. Gone are the days of chipping away with a hammer and chisel – this machine gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Carving Control: Precision is key when chasing walls for electrical lines or plumbing. The MFE40 excels in this department. The adjustable cutting depth and width allow for precise channel creation, minimizing the need for additional patching. The ergonomic design and dust extraction port further enhance control, keeping the line clear and the mess contained. Safety First: Metabo prioritizes safety with the MFE40. The S-automatic safety clutch minimizes the risk of kickback and injury in case the disc encounters unexpected resistance. Soft start and restart protection prevent jolts and ensure a smooth operation. These features provide peace of mind, especially for those new to wall chasing. Built to Last: This German-made machine feels robust and well-constructed. The diecast aluminum gear housing ensures durability and efficient heat dissipation, protecting the motor during extended use. While I haven't put it through years of wear yet, the overall build quality inspires confidence. A Slight Snag: The only minor drawback I encountered is the lack of a dust extraction hose included in the base package. While the dust port works well, having a dedicated hose would improve dust collection significantly. However, this is a small investment to consider alongside the overall value of the tool. The Verdict: The Metabo MFE40 Wall Chaser is a powerful, precise, and safe solution for electrical and plumbing projects. It may have a higher price tag than some competitors, but the robust build quality, user-friendly features, and exceptional performance make it a worthwhile investment. For DIYers or professionals who demand clean lines and efficient concrete cutting, the MFE40 is a top contender. In my toolbox, it's earned a permanent spot.
