We figured out the batteries were not getting a good connection and did some modifications to make the remotes work (see pictures). Also they confirmed that the units are 2 channel but only record what the screen sees (PIP, POP, etc.) not 2 separate channels recording independently. So after finding that out we decided to purchase another unit to obtain 2 separate recordings. They first unit we got a Black Friday Deal and they gave us a code to get the second unit for the same price! Oh and they units do not have a switch for on/off they fire up with power so as you can see in the pictures of our units mounted we have the power unplugged when not using them because any time we turn the boat batteries on we then would have to go turn the units off manually and it's just easier to plug them in when we want them.
