Worked Like A Charm
I have a spa that runs into my pool. After 22 years and spending hundreds and hundreds of $$... I have finally been able to find a product that works to keep the birds off of the spillway and from pooping all over my deck. I saw this on a boat in Lewiston, NY and it appeared to keep the seagulls away so I gave it a shot. The difficult part was where to put it in my yard so it didn't catch in the trees, bushes or on top of the patio, I am still working that out along with the length of the string for best angle. Since placing it in the backyard, not only have there been ZERO birds on the deck and spillway but they are no longer on the wall or chirping in the trees around my house. I know the material on this product will not last long in the Las Vegas sun and wind, and I'll have to purchase another.... BUT I WILL because it actually works!!!

Great buzzard deterrent.
I bought this kite to help deter turkey buzzards. I live in the country. About 1/4 mile behind my property are power line towers where the buzzards roost. I put new roofs on my home, garage and shop last year and something about the new roofs attracted the buzzards. I was horrified one day when I heard something walking on my roof. I went outside to find around 50+ buzzards on my new roofs. If you don't know, buzzards will degrade a roof quickly with their talons and feces and once they start roosting somewhere, it is difficult to get rid of them. I put this kite up in my yard and the buzzards have left my property for the most part. I also have a pond which is another attraction. There were multiple days that I came home from work and found 50+ buzzards on my new roofs. I would clap, scream and they wouldn't budge. In the last year, the buzzards and only a few at that, less than 10 have been back. When I notice they are venturing back on my property, I will move the kite to a different location. I have ordered two of these because the string that comes with the kite is not that durable. The kite itself is made well. It has withstood the elements, sun, rain, snow, ice, heat and cold. It gets lots of wind and is up and down a lot and the kite is holding up great. One order did not have any string/twine at all in the box. The first one, the string wore thin from the constant movement and in a high wind storm that came up, the string broke and I never could find where the kite flew off to. The size is great. The pole that comes with it is very sturdy and has withstood the elements.I do have to go out there occasionally and unwind the twine from around the pole. If you are having problems with buzzards, this is a great value for the money to attempt to get rid of the buzzards. It has given me piece of mind to not come home and find buzzards on my new roofs!

So disappointed
I thought this was going to be perfect when I put it up. The bird flew great. I have it attached to my dock to scare the birds away from the boat so they don't poop on it. After one weekend, and not that strong winds, the pole snapped in half and the bird went into the water lost forever. It looked fantastic when flying and I was really excited only to have my hopes dashed and the expense lost.

INSPECT upon arrival! Take down when winds are predicted to be high.
Worked well until it didn’t. Pigeons got use to it pretty quickly. Assembly had to be tweaked due to broken parts. (I didn’t inspect it immediately upon receipt - my fault.) Color faded relatively quickly. You’ll need a clear area all around the mounting post. Move frequently. Catches the wind nicely.

I was Skeptical but this has been a god send
This kite is amazing. We were losing a chicken or two a day to Hawks after the leaves all fell off and the weather started to stay cold and cloudy. I purchased this in October and it has been flying without issue since. We needed a solution. Out of the box this was entirely too short for our needs in Western Pennsylvania, however, I had a fly fishing pole and a section of hurricane fence top rail, along with a 3 foot length of rebar, so I was able to extend the height to well over 20 feet getting it both up high enough that it did not freak out the chickens, and so that it keeps the smaller predators away. I am trying to say, this thing is great, but you need a bit more equipment to make it absolutely awesome. You can get the extra fly fishing rod on Amazon as well, just search for B&M Blk Widow 5 Sect 16.5 Rigged' - BW5RR and that may be enough for you. Otherwise your local hardware store will have the top rail and the rebar for another probably close to $50 investment. I would say it is very durable because it survived a very cold and wet winter here. It flies super easily with the slightest breeze and I have seen it flying really high and taut in really tough winds. I was initially unsure if it would be worth the money but since it has now protected my chickens for half a year, and since I got it rigged up high enough, I have not lost a single bird; it is absolutely a good value for the money.

It works!! Five stars are not enough.
This thing works where almost all but one deterrent have not. We bought it to keep the gulls off our dock and boats. So tired of fishing line, which works well, but poses a real tripping hazard. It was kind of difficult to position it properly, but after some trial and error work, it sits perfectly now. The slightest wind causes it to start "flying." Right now, the hawk is taking realistic dips and dives and even flapping its wings in just a light breeze. It is also effective on the darned, pesky, constantly pooping, opportunistic Canada geese that have decided to stop migrating. I'm starting to see them around the lake this year, so I'm not alone in my praise.

String may not hold.
It was super fun to watch the Eagle fly but after a couple months the string broke and the Eagle is gone. Would like to contact the seller about it.

The kite was easy to assemble. The pole however didn’t extend as per the instruction video. I spent the extra money for the pole only to discover it is in pieces and will not attach end to end or telescope as per the video. We had to tape the ends together, not sure how long the tape will hold. Not happy with the pole

À besoin de peu de vent pour prendre son envol. Seul point négatif c’est que la corde s’enroule autour de la perche.
