Definitely not a plug in, DIY installation.
4 very thin separate prongs for connection. Impossible to line up and insert into the holes on the card.

works great!
Not too bad to install, requires soldering. But it works fine!

Solder connection - no plug
This battery is identical to the original battery. The original battery has a soldered connection from the battery to the interior board. So know how to undo the original battery and know how to solder the new battery connection into place before you buy ANY replacement battery for Bose Speaker system. This lack of plug and play was a passive aggressive attempt by the manufacturer to deter easy repair. Other than that this is so far a comparable product to the original.

Not a complete replacement part
Although the “battery” is the right one, it requires a board, also. You can’t just pull out the battery without soldering.

Almost impossible to install.
I'm sure this battery could work, but the location of the solder points is nearly impossible to reach unless you have a precise soldering iron. Even with that, it if very difficult to see if you put too much solder on the wires and sort the battery out.

Didn’t work for me!
Wired it in and still fast red flashing light. Didn’t work for me and yes it IS the correct part.

Be careful
battery did not work and my speaker was ruined trying to fix it. Super bummed because it was my husbands who passed a few years back. :-(

Battery has soldered welds so had to ship it back. Take the old battery out before buying a replacement.
