Just installed and it works great! Took maybe half an hour total for me to install, but most of that was due to getting the mic stuck up behind the dash while trying to run it through. If I did it again I could so it in 10 mins no problem.Paired up to my phone and worked perfectly first try. Audio quality is great. Call quality is great.I put the little box in the glove box and ran the cables under the dash from there. Figured that was better than having a bunch of stuff rattling around loose behind the stereo.I mounted the mic on the steering column below the gauge cluster because I didn't want to deal with removing A pillar trim and whatnot. The person I talked to during my test call said I was coming through loud and clear.We'll see how long it lasts. I've seen some reviews that say it quits working after a while. I don't use my vehicle much so I might get a little more longevity out of it. So far so good, but I'll update this review if I run into issues.

I opted to purchase a returned unit for my 2006 Highlander, to save a little money. What I received looked like new.The install was easy, thanks to videos on YouTube. The only glitch is that the connector was very, very tight in the socket on the back of the deck. In fact, it's so tight that I don't think that I was able to fully seat it. I let it go as good enough because it worked, and the alternative was to remove the entire audio deck to look closely at what was going on. I was anxious to finish, and I figured the connector was so tight that it would not pop out. If it does I can easily dive in again - it's easy enough. The install of the mic on the window post was easy and effective.Performance: Great! - so much better than having a single CD player and a wobbly cassette deck. All sources work well, including Bluetooth, USB thumb drive and Aux cable. Controls work from the steering wheel and the deck. For the thumb drive I can index forward and back through folders using the deck controls, and through tracks using the track control on the deck or steering wheel.Bluetooth operation is easy to set up and it reconnects automatically. Incoming calls on Bt interrupt the music and are easily answered or ignored. The other party in the phone says I come through loud and clear. By keeping the phone volume up the deck volume is reasonable and does not blast me out when I switch to radio.I use Bt almost exclusively, so I'm a bit shaky about how to switch between it and USB or Aux.One thing I haven't tried is playing through Aux while charging the phone. If there is a grounding problem it may show up then. But I may never do that, because I can't access the phone through the deck controls when using Aux in. One other challenge for me is enabling hands free dialing with my old Android phone. I haven't tried all the possibilities there.Bottom line: I love this thing. Very happy.Update, Oct 2022:Everything still works as when new, with a few new discoveries. First, the phone connects to the Bt shortly after turning on the car key, even if the deck is not switched on - a surprise. And it stays connected even if I have not selected CD/1, the mode on the deck to play the Bt source. In those situations, if I were to receive a call I don't believe I would get any notification, because the phone would be outputting to the Bt that is not connected to the deck amp and speakers. So if I don't want to listen to the phone over Bt, but I want to receive calls, I have to turn off Bt on my phone and take calls on the phone, i.e. not hands free.Consequently, almost always, I listen to music from my phone played over Bt to my car deck. I was pleased to learn that, if my music/podcast app is on pause when I get into the car, then I can resume play by using the track controls on my steering wheel. I don't need to open my phone. I can have the phone dial up a contact from my address book by using voice command.Mine is a 3 year old Android phone running under OS version 8. A newer phone might have even more control capabilities.Bottom line: I am still very pleased with this setup.

Overall works well. Retains Stock feel of the radio by keeping the existing radio that came with the car in place but upgrading it to modern input standards. Was pretty simple to install as it needed to be plugged into the 6+6pin port on the back of the radio. I then proceeded to route the piece of hardware that was hooked up to the back of the radio to the glove box, as it was convenient enough to place there due to the length of the cable attached to the device. There's Aux, Bluetooth, and USB input available, which its great to have all three of these options.Only gripe I have with the product is that there's a little bit of very low volume noise that can be heard when nothing is playing on stereo. Most of the time, this little white noise coming out of the car's speakers can't generally be heard if you are driving, and will go away once something is playing on the stereo through any of the three input options provided on this hardware.For the money , this product is worth paying for and having if you want to maintain the original feel of the dash and want to keep everything stock looking in your car.

FIVE STARS. I have a 2006 Toyota Camry, made in Japan, with a JBL Radio/CD/Cassette stereo with a free connector on its back. I accessed the radio by removing 3 bezel pieces, 5 connectors, and 4 10mm bolts. 10 minutes. I plugged in the Adapter Cable to the middle of the radio back. Fished the cable to the glove box and installed the adapter box. 10 mins. I replaced the bolts, connectors and bezels. Tested the unit. 10 mins. I plugged in the microphone, an aux mp3 player, linked a cell phone via bluetooth, and a USB chip loaded with mp3 songs. ALL of it worked! I had some trouble sorting out which button in the car did what, how to answer the phone, transfer from cell to USB to AUX mp3 to CD to FM radio. I found enough of them to function. All of it is clunky. No nuanced control. Only simple controls. I expected that and preferred it. My alternative was a new head unit. I just wanted hands free calling and a USB mp3 capability. On my car, the steering wheel radio buttons controlled the USB music song selection and volume control. So did the radio itself. The CD play CD select buttons (6) provided mode selection. That was fine. Upon Starting the car the default mode was Hands free not USB mp3. I preferred otherwise. But I re-plug in the USB and the music takes over automatically with hand free still working in the backround. Just what I need. The unit is in my glove box and I see no wires. My old 2006, 250,000 mile camry works like a modern vehicle without me being enslaved by a computer with hostile A-I. Key in ignition...vroom gone with music running!!! so FIVE STARS. It would be nice if I could customize the module but I am ok as it is.
