Are any of the colors scented or flavored?

I have M131 from this set and M213-Maple Butterfly from the Impressions of Miao Dressing Box and neither of them have a noticeable scent or taste. I have trial sizes of 4 different shades of the Blooming Rouge Engraved Series and there is no cloying artificial fragrance or taste. I have severe fragrance allergies so if there was a strong or noticeable smell I wouldn’t be able to use it. I hope this helps!

How does this compare to nars velvet matte pencils.?

Actually is very similar, but it's a bit Perfume that Nars don't have. If you're sensitive to that thalen it might not be for you. The color last and when it fades it still has a persistent tint which is nice because your lips will never be bare. The case is AMAZING. It a really nice case to take out and apply while your out. I had a few compliments.

Can you purchase a refill for the lipstick are?

No you cannot and I returned it because it was very cheap looking and even arrived melted
