Glycolix Elite 15% Body Lotion, 6.7 Fl Oz

I’ve had stubborn acne on my back for years and was constantly experimenting with different things to try to get rid of it. Special diets, body washes, lotions, and even Accutane (Accutane definitely helped, but after a couple of years it slowly started to come back and I was reluctant to do a second round since it made my skin and hair so dry and the monthly bloodwork was a hassle). Glycolix finally made a huge difference for me. I use 2% salicylic acid body wash in the shower and then apply this lotion afterwards. Used regularly over a period of time, my acne was totally under control. If I forget it while traveling or run out before ordering a replacement, I can see it start to come back. Everyone’s skin is different, but if you’re struggling with stubborn acne, this is worth a try! Give it a month or so to see if it makes a difference for you. If you want to use it on your face, I would try the version that’s 10% or something even lower. I think 15% might be a little too intense for more delicate skin.

I don't have KP or anything, but I DO have extremely dry skin. I'm talking dry like the carpet! Drugstore moisturizers never seem to cut it for me and in high school, I found relief with a combination of body scrubs (that HURT) and shea butter. With this lotion, I don't have to scrub anymore!!! The 15% glycolic acid does all of the sloughing for me :) I rub some on my entire body, whilst still wet from the shower, and let it air dry on my skin about 15-20 before getting dressed. I still scrub in the shower with my poof, but I don't have to deal with beads/sugars/etc. I just use my regular body wash and I'm good to go. Since I've been using this, my skin is smoother than ever!!! It also doesn't get dry as fast and I have actually skipped days without an addt'l moisturizer and not looked ashy. I also had minor discoloration on body (nicks from shaving or being clumsy) and was amazed to look in the mirror on day to see smooth, clear skin. I've overjoyed to have found this product! If only they sold it in stores here... However, free expedited shipping is offered, so it can be at my doorstep in the blink of an eye... and I don't even have to go out into traffic for it :) Don't forget to use your sunscreen when using this product. You'll need it whether you're stuck in an office most of the day, or a beach bum like myself.

Nice but you have to put lion after , leave skin dry

I've been using this glycolic acid lotion for awhile now and it's the best thing for my dry skin. My skin is now smooth and I have no need for heavy shea butters and the likes. I just rub this on whilst fresh out of the shower, wait about 15 mins to put my clothes on, and I'm on with my day. This product improves to quality of your skin!! I'd say it took about 3 weeks of daily (1-2x) use to feel a significant difference. I was almost finished with the 1st bottle. Be sure to wear a sunscreen if using this product. I'd also advise you to use a shower poof or a Korean Italy towel in the shower to remove any dead skin while bathing. This lotion will act as a micro peel over time. Also, if you apply while your skin is still wet, a little will go a long way. Otherwise, you'll use the same amount as regular lotion (and this costs A LOT more).

I have used this product on and off for 12 years. Like others have written, I feel it is not as strong as it was in the past. Before it always had a little sting or tingle that let you know it was working. Before this product has worked miracles for little bumps on the back of my arms in addition to improving the overall appearance of my skin. Disappointed this time around. Maybe I just got a bad bottle. Regardless I do recommend product.

Have mostly used this at night on my upper body/shoulders when I notice a breakout coming on. Stings a little, like it's supposed to, and I wake up with clearer, calmer skin. Has kind of a "designer" price tag, but it's worth it for occasional use. Definitely like to always have some on hand. I use the 15% face cream, as well, and the whole line is great.

I used Glycolix lotion religiously about 7 years ago to treat my KP. This stuff was heaven sent and cleared it within a week and lasted. I purchased again recently after my last pregnancy, wanting to finally start clearing my skin up and wow, awful. There has been absolutely no change to my KP and I’ve been using it daily after exfoliating for the last three weeks. So sad. I’m not sure what they’ve changed over the year besides the packaging but so disappointed.

This lotion is very effective in gradually removing dry, flaking skin and compares very favorably to its more expensive competitor, Neostrata. It is not merely a moisturizer, but rather it contains a very mild acid which causes dead skin cells to slough off and leave soft skin behind. It will be uncomfortable if applied to open areas of skin or shaving nicks. Also, it is sun-sensitizing, so don't use it on sun exposed areas or you will get a sunburn. Its only shortcoming is that the pump on the bottle is not particularly effective, so after the first 2/3 of the bottle is used, you will need to open the top to get the rest out.
