Piece and Quilt Neutrals by Christa Quilts thread kit of 12 large (1422 yard) spools of 50 weight 100% cotton Mako thread from Aurifil. The Piece and Quilt collection includes Christa Watson's favorite colors that she pieces and quilts with everyday. The 50 weight threads are thin and strong, helping you to create perfectly flat seams. The colors blend into your fabrics while machine quilting, creating gorgeous texture every time, allowing the design of your quilt to shine. Because the threads are made from 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton, they will help your quilts remain soft and supple, even when heavily quilted.

Review: Worth the $$$ - I've been a quilter about 2 yrs. I thought any thread was okay and thought it silly to pay for anything that cost more. Well....I was wrong. First of all: it's really not that costly. Secondly: if you want really nice seams and virtually no lint to clean out of your machine then you should give Aurifil a try. The colors are gorgeous, the thread is strong and the 50 wt. almost melds right into the seam. Nice, flat blocks are the result. I can honestly say: I will use Aurifil thread from now on. It truly makes a huge difference.

I've been a quilter about 2 yrs. I thought any thread was okay and thought it silly to pay for anything that cost more. Well....I was wrong. First of all: it's really not that costly.
