Review: Beware of this company poor product even worse support - We bought this computer for our business because we use some very expensive modeling software. The thing never worked right from day one. Should have sent it back during the return window but installing the software is such a hassle having to contact the company to explain why I am re-installing the software and all that. Some of the software cost more that $10,000. We didn't send it back and made the mistake of trusting Lenovo support to help us solve the problem. They are comletely incapable as we worked with 4-5 technicians who had us all do the same thing over and over again and never fixed the problem. Bought another computer so we could run our business in the mean time. We have 3K invested in this one so we made another attempt at getting it fixed before qwe throw it in the trash. Technicians did or had us do the same thing as the first time. I could tell them ahead of time what they were going to try next. Completely incapable of doing anything but following their trouble tree in their book. If you have a problem that won't fix you are out of luck. Paid for onsite support which they won't authorize. They want me to reset the computer again before they say they will send a technician. I did that the first time and they wouldn't send a technician out to fix it. They say I can send my computer with all the expensive software and proprietary information in to them to look at. If you need a computer you can use and help for a problem if one occurs don't buy one of these or any computer this company sells. Poor product even worse support. Update. They were supposed to be sending me a jump drive to reset my computer again. They sent it for the wrong machine, wrong operating system. They closed the repair ticket just like they did last time with the problem still unresolved. Update. Did another factory reset using the reset built into the operating system since they sent me a jump drive for the wrong computer and wrong operating system. Did a reload from the cloud with not retaining any personal settings. The reset didn't do anything just like the last time they had me do a reset. The same problem still exists. Lenovo closed the trouble ticket again so if I call in I will start the whole process over again. I was unable to generate another trouble ticket online as when I enter the information it never goes through. I suspect my serial number is being blocked. This is the second time they did this demonstrating they are unwilling and incapable of resolving the problem. The onsite service I paid for with their Premium Level service is non existent. The second reset done from the cloud didn't have any Lenovo apps included in it so there is no way now to tell if the computer is running or not when the screen goes blank. Before the case lighting was an indicator. You can set this up in the bios and it does come on briefly on the boot up but goes off before the login screen comes on. Like everything Lenovo nothing works like it is supposed to. I have a flashlight next to the computer so I can see if the fans are running to see if the computer is on when it crashes randomly through out the day. On a positive note I only have one more month of Lenovo warranty to endure. I bought the extended warranty through another vendor and look forward to working with tech support that speaks understandable English and is willing and competent enough to resolve the problem. I regret that I can only rate this as a one star. A one star would be if it never worked at all. It doesn't take into account the countless hours I have wasted working with tech support incapable of doing anything but the same thing over and over again. I worked with 8 different techs over the period of a year and all of them tried the same thing. I did two factory resets as a factor in hopes of reaching onsite support which they never provided and in my opinion never intended to provide. I have dealt with a fair amount of technical support in my day but I can say without any hesitation Lenovo is the worst I have ever had to endure. Anything beyond setting your clock for daylight saving or how to lock your taskbar is demonstrably beyond their capability
