Does the job. Price is right.
Relatively easy to install. I bought two because they were $45. Iโm pleased with it. Saves so much space in my garage. It will definitely hold tires. But Iโm not going to trust the 300 pound rating. If you have average wheels/tires for a small truck or any mid size car itโs probably fine.

Very sturdy, simple to install; however, not easy with one person...ME.
Very simple to install, I first measured to to place the bottom of the bracket 76" from the ground (to make sure I don't bang my head), do this on the other location 48" inches away and check mark for horizontal level. Then find a center line of the studs, mark locations for bolts on one bracket, drill correct holes, and for one guy on a latter, hold frame to studs using one arm and head and insert bottom bolt and drill in to leave a quarter inch between bolt and bracket. Then go to the top bolt and do the same; now relax and take the load of your head and do the other top and bottom bracket bolts and level vertically and tighten all four bolts. Repeat on other side, and you are done with side bracket install. Since a garage with open studs installation, the back bar was not important for stopping wear on a dry wall surface so I installed it halfway up. Due to the overall diameter of the tires, I placed the bottom cross bars at the max rear and max front positions. And the tires sit perfectly about three-to-four inches below the two bottom cross bars and about one inch from back bar. Makes them impossible to roll off without human intervention (or the Yellowstone Caldera down the road blowing, at which point rolling tires will not be my major problem.) Lag bolts were of sufficient length and diameter to make each bracket very sturdy. In my case, I am only storing four 19" rim size (29" total tire diameter) tires so total weight will be about 120 lbs. Overall, great rack, and although installation was simple to install, not all that easy for a 75 year old dude from a ladder by myself. But like they say, age is just number. Checking level and vertical and horizontal are right on.

Mostly straightforward install
Tire sizes: Front - 265/35/20, Rear - 305/30/20 from a 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR. The mounting hardware needs to go into a stud. Therefore, the widest configuration for this particular kit is 48". I thought that i would have a few inches left to spare when mounting my wide summer tires. However, it is important to note that you lose a few inches because of these brackets. I would say you only have about 46" of width to work with. Wide tire guys - measure the full width of your tire (not the wheel)! I couldn't fit a cricket's leg hair between these tires! I literally thought about using Crisco to lube the last tire I mounted. Not to mention, 3 of the tires are securely seated, the last tire is not seated well. Therefore, I will be using an extra rope to secure my rubbers. Some of the reviews cast doubt on larger tires and wheels. I didn't employ any redneck ingenuity to get my brackets installed. (Just read the directions, measure your tire diameter, and you shouldn't have any issue.) The hardware and brackets are all sturdy, apparently rated for 300 lbs. That being said, if your tires aren't limited by width, you could fit larger diameter tires by using 2x4 "spacers." Again, I did not need to do that. I suppose you could also figure it out how to get wider tires mounted, so long as you tied it all in on the studs with proper lag bolts. Buy with confidence! Hope this helps someone. Now get off the toilet and get back to work.

Simple to Install, Great Space Saver
I bought this without high expectations, but I have to say, I'm very impressed with it. It was a great way to get my extra set of tires off the floor and free up some much-needed space in my garage. Plus, I was even able to store two bikes hanging vertically on it by putting the front tires in the rack, which was a big bonus! One thing I particularly appreciated about this tire rack was how adjustable it is. The telescoping rods made it easy to customize the size of the rack to fit my specific needs, and the overall design is sturdy and well-built. The only improvement I would suggest is to include some cheap plastic shims to make the telescoping rods a little smoother and more secure. However, they work fine as-is, and I haven't had any issues with the rack so far. Overall, I would definitely recommend the MAXXHAUL 70489 Adjustable Wall Mount Tire Rack to anyone looking for a convenient and space-saving storage solution for their extra tires or bikes. It's a great product at an affordable price, and it has definitely helped me keep my garage organized and clutter-free.

Just what I needed
I purchased two of these for storing seasonal tires. I needed something that would keep the tires from hitting the finished wall and these did the trick. The larger tires (on the right in the photo) are 225 60 R17s and there is at least 1.5โ clearance between the tires and the wall. There is a chart in the manual with instructions on how to set the crossbars for various tire sizes. Installation was straightforward and relatively easy. I installed them by myself but would have liked a helper to hold things while I marked hole locations and level lines. I took the advice of other reviewers and bought new lag screws. I used 3/8 x 3.5โ (larger ones in the photo) since I have a finished wall. I also bought a box of 1โ washers. After drilling 15/64โ pilot holes through the drywall and stud I used a 1โ spade bit and drilled through the drywall only. I put 6 washers in each hole to match the drywall thickness then mounted the brackets. The washers keep the drywall from being crushed and make for a very rigid installation (Many thanks to the reviewer who first suggested this). I am very pleased with these racks and would recommend to anyone who wants to free up some floor space. Just plan your installation well and buy new hardware.

Great rack for the money.
Great rack for the money. Seems very well constructed once it is all put together and mounted to the wall. I like that I can also fold it away if needed. I donโt notice any flex or movement when loading the wheels, and the material seems adequate. The size is perfect for my track day wheel set. While it isnโt going to win any looks competitions, it looks at home in the garage.

Mounted rack with brackets in reverse position
I reconfigured the rack by swapping the mounting brackets from side to side, which included removing the two screws holding the diagonal support bar/strap and mounting them on the opposite side of the mounts. Removing the mounting brackets from the other pieces also made mounting to the wall very easy, since I didn't have anything hanging off the brackets while trying to position, mark the holes for drilling pilot holes into the studs, and then ratcheting the lag bolts into the wall. Mounting the rack this way gives you about five extra inches of usable rack. I also mounted the two horizontal bars facing in opposite directions, which places the junctions of the two bars in different areas horizontally, which might add a little bit of extra rigidity to the rack. The only downside to reversing the mounting brackets is that the rack can no longer be folded down flat against the wall now, but I don't intend to do that. Edit: Mounted a second rack, also with mounts reversed, but this time with the square side bars on the "inside" of the brackets (see last picture). So basically, there's about three different configurations that will allow "fine tuning" the length of the crossbars on this rack, depending on the spacing of your studs. I wouldn't recommend going much beyond 50/52 inches maximum width. But you can certainly widen the usable rack if you have an odd stud spacing that is shorter than 48 inches.

Works well in my shed
I wanted to free up some space in my garage for storing winter/all season tires. The cost of this versus a floor rack was comparable, and my shed just has a gravel floor so this was great. There were a few parts of the directions that were a little tricky, mainly because it looked like they were written incorrectly (they weren't everything was correct), and could have been avoided with a little more reading before doing. Installation was extra easy otherwise in my case because I have bare studs and didn't have to measure to know where to position them. Once in I was impressed that on the first rack I was able to get 5 tires on it (4 for a mini van and one for a small sedan)

It's sturdy and good quality!
It's sturdy and good quality. Installation instruction is clear and easy to follow. It fit 4 x 20" SUV (255/50R20) tires perfectly! (it depends on the separation distance of the vertical wooden struts) !

Easy to Setup & Use, Very Very Sturdy and Solid Construction
This was better then I expected. I have four tires 16" on it and have room for a Spare Tire and could still put two more tires on it. It secures so well no worry over it coming down, or any risk at all as long as you install as per instructions. Highly highly recommend this product and would buy it again.
