It works out perfectly. I love that the opening stays open so no needing 2 hands to throw something away. I keep mine in the foot well on the passenger side in the front seat, so it's reachable by the driver. I hang it from the gear shift with the included strap. I also like that it comes with small trash bags that stay in place by snapping them in with the cloth cover.The only minor fault I find with it is if were a teeny bit smaller it would be better, but I have a really small car. My passengers never complain though, it's only that it looks slightly in the way, but has never been an issue.And yeah $20 bucks seems a lot I suppose, but I tried 2 other car waste bins that didn't work out and this one has. The others wound up in the donate pile and this one is a keeper. I haven't replaced the inside trash bag (yet), but imagine I will one day or when I happen to throw away something wet.
