Is this wide enough?** A: The hose would have to be 3/4 inch outside diameter or less to fit through the pulley and 1/2 inch to roll properly without binding. **Q: Will it fit 3/8 rope** A: Spec. - Max. rope size 1/2". 3/8" should be OK. **Q: where is this manufactured?** A: Not sure, but Google searching seems to turn up China from most discussions. I'm using mine as an anchor pulley on a drift boat, so it's not a life or death thing for me. Seems like climbers "out there" aren't too impressed. **Q: Need a pulley that can handle repetition and heat for an exercise rope. Regular pulleys get warm quick and become defective. Will this do?** A: Thank you! I will be using it in a high repetition exercise of my legs and arms. The repetition constantly reverses the motion. Weight on it will be much less than 150 Ib.
