**Q: How long is the large screw? I’m looking for a 2.5” screw.**
A: they're shorter than 2"; however my contractor built in a  support board between each stud before installing the drywall so the screws went straight in the wood. Very sturdy brackets they support my fiesta dishes

**Q: what size screws are provided.  #8, #9, #10?   I want to get my own to fit the countersunk hole.**
A: Our screws are universal and can be used for 6in,8in,10in,and 12in sizes.

**Q: What is the hole dimensions?**
A: About 1/4" Diameter

**Q: How much weight does it hold if it's not in a stud?**
A: Hi Anna,
Much depends on the weight of your shelf plus the items it’s to hold. Preferably at least one bracket should be into a solid wood stud if possible. These brackets are very thick and heavy duty. They came with three anchor types for solid, hollow wall and masonry. Using four of the hollow wall anchors per bracket should hold a decent amount of weight. You can always use a Hillman hollow wall anchor which claims a 3/16” inch anchor will hold 70 lbs in 1/2” drywall. 
Just make sure the wall board is sound!

These brackets hold so much weight and are very sturdy. Make sure you screw where a stud is if possible. I did leave a small gap between the bracket and the back of the shelf, only because my shelf wasn’t perfectly straight. That has nothing to do with the brackets though. I used three for my daughters shelf and I have the rest to use later. It comes with everything you need, besides the shelf. Very happy with this purchase!
