I like the trays but wish they were like 9”x12” instead of 8x8”. **Q: Is there a total of 8 holding trays plus the cover, or is the cover considered the 8th tray??....just got this now. Thank you.** A: There are 8 trays and 1 lid (less depth as trays). Great for puzzles but also wonderful for sorting Lego pieces by color too! **Q: How easy are the boxes to pull apart when stacked?** A: I would not say it is “easy”, but it’s not difficult. I don’t think I’d want it to be easy. I’d rather they fit together snugly, to reduce of them coming apart and getting the puzzle pieces mixed up again. To open the trays, I rest the set on a flat surface and slide a finger nail along the edge. I’m very happy with this product, and would buy it again! **Q: Can you fit the pieces to a 1000 piece puzzle in the set of 8 trays?** A: I’ve only been doing 1000 piece puzzles, but the answer depends. My puzzles have letters on the backs of the pieces & if you have more than 8 letters it would be harder to sort if you sort by the letters.
