I just love this set. I don’t use the pencil that much but the pen is the best I’ve ever owned! Writes smooth and I can get different colors of ink for the refill. Bonus!!

I replaced the .7 head with .5 from a Pentel EnerGel-X bln105. The weight is nice when posted. All the weight is in the tip of the cap. So the pen feels heavier when posted due to leverage, but the pen itself is not heavy. Depending on how you hold the pen, the sharp metal edge might bug you. Overall I am overjoyed that I have a very nice looking body to the bln 105 ink cartridge. This also fits the unibal signio 105. Worth it at 25, kind of a stretch at 30. Looks amazing and feels like a quality pen when posted, otherwise it does not feel dense so it feels cheap. I am happy. I noticed some weird defect on the pencil; it looks like lacquer dripped/ran in one tiny spot, but the surface appears almost flush so you cant scratch off the extra lacquer. I think a drop fell on the pencil early, dried, then the body was completely lacquered permanently encasing the drop. I do not even use the pencil.

Very classy stainless steel pen and pencil. Very smooth writing pen. Runs out of ink quickly of used for everyday writing, so stock up on refills. Great set.

I opened this pen and pencil set up on Christmas day, and it's a beautiful set with elegant details. I've mainly used the pen than the pencil. Since it was near to me, I picked it up and took out the 0.5 mm pencil (I believe) and tried to write with it. When I first used it a moment ago as I tried to write, it was loose at the cone tip where the lead comes out. So my recommendation if you buy it is to tighten it up before writing. It writes fine and is a nice complement to this Pentel set.

I bought the Silver color set to serve as a very nice-looking matching pen and pencil set to take to training classes. The pencil has a sleeve around the lead which minimizes breakage and retracts when not in use. The pen body can be used either unposted or posted, and the cap clicks firmly into place on either end of the pen. I like the contoured grip section, which works well with my preferred close-to-the-point grip. The pen body also accepts Uni-Ball Signo 207 or Uni-Ball Jetstream refills in addition to EnerGel refills. I also like the plastic case for storing and protecting the set between classes.

Smooth operation and the ink is rich. The pencil clicks smoothly and is nice. I purchased this for myself in honor of my granddad who was never without his pen and pencil set. It's now my favorite for taking notes in church, just as I did with my granddad's 25 years ago. My only complaint is that the pen lid doesn't snap onto the barrel of the pen. I put it in the case while using.

The best ink you can get anywhere. Standard refills used of various colors. The Pentel is all I write with. The pencil is also solid and great. I had to try it. Make great gifts as well. Recipients are impressed.

Beautiful pen set. Got them on sale for my daughter. Spent more on engraving them, than buying the set. Great for writing with, could have been a little more elegant in appearance.
