Very nice for a $30 product. Build quality is obviously cheap, but it's well done. It came with a nice carrying bag, extra strings, and a nice tuner. Bare in mind that the tuning pegs are extremely sensitive. I found the best way to tune it was to rest the tuner on the peg and literally just tap it in each direction. Once tuned, it sounds great.

I wasnt expecting such beautiful sound, and quality feel, i thought this 7 string lyre was goin to be light with a cheap feel and hollow sound.. but oh my god it was the whole opposite, Warm tone, sturdy and lovely finish on the wood with some heft to it! Id say 8.5/10 i would have go 10/10 if it werent for the dang tunning! Process.. i read some reviews about how annoying it may be.. i was hoping they were just exagerating a bit.... But no.. this thing fight you to get in tune.. for those interested just dont give up..at the end is totally worth it...

Love this little lyre! Easy to tune and play. Very nice sound for such an affordable instrument. I am beyond pleased.

iv owned this lyre for about a year and a half now. it still sounds so beautiful. the wood finish is near perfect. it stays in tune better than my other instruments, but getting it tuned is another story. its a lyre and ALL lyres are hard to tune if you dont know how because of all the stirngs. start from the low to high and back down to low. and back up. tuning it about 3 to 4 times. the also you have to tune it once or twice a day for the first week or so until the strings settle in. after that it stays in tune very well no complaints.

Very nice sound but strings were a tad too close together for my taste. It also was appearing to take a long time of string adjustments before they would hold their tune for any length of time.

This 7 string lyre was my first lyre and she's gorgeous. I wished it had the tabs on the strings, but I easily resolved that with printing the tabs on paper and then taping them. The sound and wood is gorgeous, the build is good. Be careful with tuning, never turn too high while moving strings or they will break. That's not bad quality- just pressure reacting. Be patient. She's like a modernized Anglo-Saxon lyre, so I gave her a Nordic name; Lynae. I'm gonna say this in every review for lyres/lyre harps for beginners reading: Every. Lyre. Arrives. Untuned. That doesn't make it bad- that is just normal packaging to protect it during shipping/packaging. Strings need to be loose for safety. Then you tune it with the wrench. Follow instructions. Download a tuner for an app and match the string's notes. It's that easy. A lot of people write reviews complaining that it "sounds horrible", they don't know how to tune it, they're not musicians". You don't have to be a musician- just download an app, watch a 3 minute Youtube video on tuning a lyre. Tutorials are everywhere. It will be worth it.

I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. I was suprised by the quality of the item. I think it was a great buy. It is very nice. I don't play instruments so I can't speak to functionality, but it looks nice.

The lyre came mostly tuned which is good because just putting the tuning key on it and flexing the breadth of a molecule will change the tuning by half a note. So far I like the sound. The gig bag is cheap and soft but it's still good to have. The construction of the lyre is pretty good. I'd like the eyelets to be a little sturdier but the saddle looks good. It's most likely plastic "bone", but that's okay by me. My only real annoyance is that the tuning key handle is unfinished and I was a little worried about splinters.

This is a fab working harp. I use it in seem lies. Very portable. The children are fascinated!

Ich habe dieses Instrument für ein blindes Kind gekauft, welches auch mal dazu neigt, mit dem Spielzeug zu werfen. Was soll ich sagen, das Instrument bleibt heil, der Klang ist gut und das Kind ist zu Frieden. Das ganze Zubehör ist praktisch und funktioniert gut. Selbst die Noten sind für mich einfach zu verstehen gewesen. Das stimmen mit dem beigefügten Schlüssel funktioniert wirklich gut.
