Top 10 Trading Setups: How to Find them, When to Trade them, How to Make Money with them

I love this authors no nonsense approach to these set ups. He gives clear, concise information and not much of a narrative, which is great for me but might not be for you. This book has tons of graphs and examples. As a newbie to intraday and swing trading this book makes the set ups easy to understand and walks through it, his teaching style is easily digested. He is a big fan of the 80/20 principle - as am I - this line of thinking pairs well with mine and hopefully yours. If you want to hone in your A and B set ups this book is a must. The best part of this book is the logic to the set ups in relation to the market conditions. Gives great rationale for when to go long, when to short and the ideal markets for each of the set ups. Highly recommend.

This is a very well structured book providing excellent guidance for the new & the seasoned trader. The general strategies aren’t novel, but they are set forth in logical fashion, supported by market & psychological factors & enhanced with specific recommendations for entry, hold & exit. I have had this book since 2017 & when I stray from the solid market tested momentum strategies & find myself in irrational positions, I review the highlights of this book & those of Minervini, Bellafiore, and the IPO Lifecycle book by Ms. Boboch, Ms. Donnelly et al. & get back to the discipline of following volume, breakouts, new highs, profit taking pullbacks, ADX, RSI & strict RISK MANAGEMENT. Thank you Mr. Ivanov for a reasonably priced, well organized informative book, lacking the obligatory autobiography about starting with nothing, then losing borrowed money & hitting rock bottom until finally applying the systems shared in the indispensable book. Although I would say that serious amateur traders would find this book indispensable.

This book delivered ten fundamental setups to scan or find into different market conditions whether it’s trending or range bound. A few setups are more intermediate but the charts and explanations are simple and clear for a new trader to start scanning for. Although the setups maybe let easy to identify in some scenarios. It’s a nice intro into swing trading setups to develop your playbook around.

Very straight forward book that gets to the point using clear explanations on how to scan for stocks, enter the trade, and manage/exit the trade. Each chapter is basically setup in a structure that tells you: - when to buy, place a stop, and exit a trade - scan criteria (which you can use finiviz for) - context on why this setup works (theory) - screens of numerous examples on that setup I read this after learning about technical analysis and it is a perfect compliment to take what I learned and start applying it using these setups. Its not necessary to know technical analysis but more tools the better so when you are tracking day to day you can get a better sense on the position.

short term traders and set-up junkies might like this book

This book has very little fluff. It has straight out strategies that anyone can use. If you like it and feel like it fits, as with any investing book, you must read it many times to "get it". Most people read a book once, if the ever finish it and think they'll be rich - then they fail and say no one can time the market, stock trading is dangerous, etc. In order to get these are any strategies you must put them to work, study wins and losses and gradually build up to success.

Nothings works all the time. Traders make big money in bull markets then lose most of it (and their confidence) a few months later when volatility goes up. In this bk, Ivanov shows you what works in what kind of market. I wish I'd had it twenty years ago, even one year ago. It would have made such a difference! Not just clearly written, tho it is. The author's *mind* is clear, and he shares his rich knowledge of markets with you. I bought this because I decided I wasn't selling soon enough, and started to *use* the principles in Ivanov's bk on Swing Trading to sell sooner. Hey! It worked! Returns increased and drawdowns minimal using that book. I have been trying the Ivanhoff IPO set-ups successfully using his tips for finding and managing these stocks, made money on one so far. Made 20% in two days following the Huge Volume setup. So now I have two new trading skills. I had tried IPO trading before and made small, but knowing better when to sell helps you increase the profit. I thank Ivanov for sharing his knowledge and his clear vision with me. It has made all the difference in profit and confidence. His way is simple and robust. Much better than the know it all books that give you volumes of minutiae. IMO those just muddy your head. Do yourself a favor and try this book. This book is invaluable. Do yourself a favor and study it. I'd give it 10 stars if I could

C'est un livre sur le trading écrit par un trader et non pas un coach du trading, et cela se comprend dès la lecture de la première page. En effet, son auteur va droit au but. Le texte est précis et place d'entrée de jeu le lecteur dans une position de trader professionnel qui doit prendre des décisions suivant un tableau de bord très clairement explicité par Ivaylo Ivanov et dans des environnement de trading différents, soient dix au total. Les règles de trading sont très claires et détaillées. Les outils d'analyse technique sont mentionnés et se limitent au strict minimum; à savoir les moyennes mobiles exponentielles, RSI et divergences de momentum. On regrettera dans le format Kindle que les exemples sous forme de graphiques du cours de l'action, volume et indicateurs techniques soient difficilement lisibles, quoique en décodant le nom de l'action et la période concernée,on réussit à les relire bien plus aisément sous Prorealtime par exemple ou tout autre plateforme de graphique boursier. Malgré ce léger défaut, c'est un excellent livre que je conseille chaleureusement à tout ceux qui désirent trader efficacement, dans différents environnements de marché, et cela avec une prise de risque maîtrisée.
