Garage Door Opener Control Panel, Multi-Function Wall Keypad Button Replacement for 78LM, Wired

This button opener was an upgrade/replacement for an old rubberized Overhead Door button that was dimly illuminated, mushy, and sometimes didn't actuate. This fixed all of those problems. The LED illumination underneath the button is bright and visible, the large hard plastic button is easy to actuate when one's hands are full, and most importantly it works. While the lock and light buttons don't work with my particular setup-- I knew this would be the case before I made my purchase-- I'm much happier with the more modern design and how much cheaper it was than a name-brand replacement. I've no doubt that short of hitting it with a hammer it will last a very long time.

I had to replace one of my two garage door openers. The new opener had a modern multi-function control panel that replaced the old cheap doorbell button on my wall. Now, I have a new modern panel next to an old rusty cheap doobell button that was part of my second garage door opener. I searched around and wanted a new control panel to work with my Liftmaster opener with orange button. This one was easy to install, cheap and all buttons work. The green light is bright so it was a bonus night light in my garage. Tip: I thought the Locked button was not working but I learned that you have to press and hold the button for about 2 seconds to activate the lock function. The green light will flash to let you know that the opener is locked. Press & hold is a good idea because it prevents accidently touching the button and locking the opener from remotes.

This was basic, cheap, AND WORKS! I was selling my house and the extra opener on the wall broke and I didn't want to spend a fortune to buy a name brand. Simple to install, and works just as good as any name brand. The light is an added bonus. Comes with instructions and if you follow them, there is no problems pairing this with your main opener.

Synced right up and operated the door perfectly, nice bright backlight makes it easy to find in the dark. The mounting system is a bit of a pain and had to cut out a notch to allow the wiring through the way it needed to be routed (previous installer didn't leave much wire length to work with) overall very happy with results

These worked out just as great as the orginals that were failing. I had the originals for about 18 years and they just wouldn't always work when pressing the button. I swapped out to these and we're back in business. Such a great value compared to the OEM versions too. Easy to install with just two wire connections so I highly recommend!

Great replacement for one that gave up. Light is useful for finding the button at night, and functions like a nightlight in the garage.

I bought this in March of 2023 so it's over 10 months old and it still works great. Replaced my old garage door opener with this, easy installation. I love having the green light so it's easy to see in the dark.

The images on the listing were what I needed but NOT what I received. This 78LM replacement will not fit the same screw pattern as the original 78LM. It has a mounting plate utilizing 3 screws vs a one-piece unit like the OEM Liftmaster that uses two screws.
