Featuring a new flatter dynamic capsule, adjustable 50Hz-20kHz frequency response, and a rugged stainless steel build, it delivers noise-free, balanced output via professional XLR connectivity. Ideal for live performances and studio recordings, its proximity-sensitive bass and customizable filters provide tailored sound capture, backed by a 2-year warranty. ## Description Adjustable, Full-range Capture That’s As Good As Gold! Golden Age Project’s D2 MKII is an enhanced tribute to the brand’s D1 vintage studio microphone. This dynamic newborn provides a noise-free, balanced output with a built-in cardioid polar pattern, making the recording process easier for vocalists and instrumentalists alike. A proximity-sensitive bass response drives the D2 MKII’s 75–300Hz bass frequency range, which means bass equalization is as easy as taking a step back. Similarly, a featured 3-switch filter and a response panel provide you with the ability to alter a duo of bass roll-off filters, as well as the option of widening or narrowing your frequency range to find the perfect capture field for any recording session.Faithful dynamic versatility The D2 MKII’s vocal mic appearance can be deceiving — it’s also a great option for recording acoustic sessions or even performing live. A balanced response and the D2 MKII’s proximity-sensitive range Review: Heavy duty metal microphone - Firstly, I contacted the manufacturer before buying to ask what the difference was between the first version and this one (the mk2). Golden Age said it used a new dynamic capsule that had a flatter response. In my own usage, this does seem accurate. Do keep in mind that every review on YouTube as of me writing (7-31-2022) are of the first version. Some of those sound good, and some sound a bit “boxy” for whatever reason. The mk2 does not have that problem with me. Very well built, and has a good broadcast dynamic sound. Play with the filter switches and see what you like best! ## Features - Dynamic Microphone with Cardioid Polar Pattern - 50Hz to 20kHz Adjustable Frequency Response - XLR Output ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09KJJGFCG | | Antenna Location | Live vocal performances, Studio recordings | | Best Sellers Rank | #63,419 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #228 in Vocal Dynamic Microphones #229 in Multipurpose Dynamic Microphones | | Brand | Golden Age Project | | Built-In Media | Microphone | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Personal Computer | | Connectivity Technology | XLR | | Connector Type | XLR | | Customer Reviews | 5.0 out of 5 stars 1 Review | | Enclosure Material | Stainless Steel | | Frequency Response | 20 KHz | | Hardware Platform | Karaoke Machine | | Item Dimensions | 12.6 x 6.2 x 4.1 inches | | Item Weight | 3.1 pounds | | Manufacturer | Golden Age Project | | Mfr Part Number | D2 MKII | | Microphone Form Factor | Handheld | | Model Name | D2 MKII | | Number of Channels | 1 | | Polar Pattern | Unidirectional | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Recommended Uses For Product | Live vocal performances, Studio recordings | | Special Feature | XLR | | UPC | 687398893089 | | Warranty Description | 2-Year Warranty | ## Images ![Golden Age Project D2 MKII Dynamic Cardioid Microphone - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ZVlyQGMAL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heavy duty metal microphone *by N***K on August 1, 2022* Firstly, I contacted the manufacturer before buying to ask what the difference was between the first version and this one (the mk2).
