Great product. Does exactly what it says it will do and more. Wood is very hard after use. Does take a bit of time to cue, but it's worth it.

This stuff works very well

This is a very good product if you use it intelligently. Do make infiltration holes into the compromised wood. Do use heat on the substrate to increase penetration: heat gun or heat lamp. I would make 2 suggestions to improve the product. Provide also a smaller mixing bottle to use for smaller repairs. Also, give a more accurate indication of hardening time for product. It is of course dependent on temperature and what quantity is left mixed together in the pot for how long. You could create a table at least for temperature. The product was much slower at hardening than I expected. I had to use a heat lamp to have it fully hardened for further work 24 hours later, even in late summer in the mid-Atlantic states in a warm garage.

I had a slab of Honey Locust that had a lot of deep rot in it I decided to try to salvage it with this product. It worked better than I hoped!! All areas I treated were very solid after treatment. A little pricey but I was able to use a very damaged slab, and it made a beautiful tabletop!!

Some of the bottom edges of my wooden shed were showing signs of water damage. So before painting, I thought I would try to stop, or al least slow, the process. My first step was to use a wire brush to remove loose paint and the most severely damaged wood. Then I mixed and applied the PC-Rot Terminator. It was a clear, thin liquid so I was questioning how effective it would be. I wasn't in a rush, so I let it dry a few days. I have to say, that I was surprised by the result. It was easy to see where the PC-Rot Terminator was applied because it dried to a smooth, almost glossy finish and really seemed to encapsulate where it was applied. It painted over easily and didn't seem to affect the color or adhesion of the paint I applied. Now I was to see how it looks over time. One suggestion for application: The damaged area was pretty rough and uneven, so for application I used a cheap chip brush that I cut down (about half way) so that the bristles would be stiff. This allowed me to aggressively work the PC-Rot Terminator into the rough, damaged areas to ensure maximum coverage.

I bought this product to harden up some dry rotted and wet rotted wood. The wood in question was a rim joist directly on my foundation underneath my bathtub which was leaking when I bought my home. I ripped the tub and flooring out and I let the wood air out until it was dry and I drilled 1/8 inch holes the whole length and height about 2 inches apart and a half inch deep and filled the holes until they weeped, and extra where there were chunks gone, within 24 hours 90% was hardened. I topped it off with pc-petrifier which comes in a gallon bottle, I brushed several coats of that on and let that cure, the wood was very solid and sturdy enough to sister in a new joist and every screw bit in and I didn't have to jack up my house to replace the board. It's been 2 years since and no structural or shrinkage or other issues. I would highly recommend, I did use two boxes worth for a 2x8 that 8 feet long due to the severity of damage, very easy to use and saved me thousands of dollars.

What a great product! Some epoxy products start to set up so quickly you can barely work with them before they start to harden. No so with this product. So easy to mix with the enclosed containers, and you can apply with bristle or foam brush or apply directly from the squeeze bottle. The nice working viscosity and long work time is a bit of a trade off when it comes to cure time. You have to be patient with it and let it completely cure for several days. Well worth it though! This worked fantastic for a section of dry rot on a lateral support beam in my basement. Created a super hard base for me to repair. Very happy with the results.

I have used this product twice b4. Once on a boat and it worked flawlessly. This time I used on a wooden floor under a shower and I did not get the penetration that I got on the boat. Not sure why.

Worked as described. Expensive but great product
