We filled these with applesauce, one of her favorites, and then froze them. When we gave it to her it took her about 2 minutes to figure out what to do with it with our help but then she wouldn't put it down. In fact, she cried when it was empty... Good thing it comes in a three pack so we had another one ready to go. When you freeze them it takes only a minute or two for the applesauce or other puree to soften enough to start working it's way out of the holes in the pacifier. And, while your baby works on it for the first minute or two they get the cooling and rubbing on their gums that we could tell helped relive some of her pain.The feeders come apart which makes them quick and easy to clean. The big handle makes it nice and easy for our little one to hold, and it doesn't stay cold for long when you pull it out of the freezer which is awesome.
