StarTech GCAUD3535FF 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm Audio Coupler - Female to Female

I bought this to bridge a 25 foot 3.5mm male to male to another 3.5mm male plug from a speaker. The piece is functional and solid. I have not had any sound distortion or any crackles- which means it gets the thumbs up from me.

I bought it, tested it, then found that I really don't need it since I found the cable that this I needed in the first place. I can say it worked wonderfully in the limited test I did just to make sure it did work. I didn't get to do an exhaustive torture test, and I highly doubt I ever will, but for the couple days that I needed this adapter for, it was awesome.

This. This is the one to get. Don't get any other 3.5 mm couplers. This is the one. I tried two other couplers before this one and the problem I kept having was that they were loose and any cables I plugged into them would wiggle and lose connection. But this... this one is nice and tight around any 3.5 mm jack, with a nice firm click so you know it's inserted all the way. Don't look at any other couplers, even if this is slightly more expensive, they are all crap. This is the one to get.

Used this coupler to entend an auduo line on a remote tv speaker. Quality is good, Firm electrical connection with the male plug that is plugged into the female coupler.

I'm writing this review after several years of use. I use it at work to route my headphone cable around the back of my desk along with a StarTech cable and both have been fantastic. Until I tried using a particular pair of earbud headphones. I normally use big clunky headphones at work, but this particular pair has a mic, so it has a four conductor plug. Long story short - if you have two black rings on your headphone plug, this will work great. If you have three, you may need to fiddle with the connection to get it to work well. If you need the mic to go through, look for a four conductor or TRRS coupler instead.

This connector works and hold the plugs in place. i tried the cheaper ones and they just do not hold the connection . it is so good the i purchased a second.

1-10-13. The purpose for which i bought the coupler ws over-ridden by the need for a larger gauge wire, so i have only used it briefly. It worked well and made good contacts with both cables it coupled. The gold coating was effective in signal transfer.

I bought a microphone to use as a boom microphone to capture all the audio from the room in addition to some other microphones to use with a camcorder. Little did I know it was for a DSLR camera and it only had a 1.5 foot long cord, I used a 12 foot long 3.5 to 3.5mm cord and used this to connect the two and it works great!

It was cheap and it works well. It canceled all the buzzing noise that I had.
