It just so happened that the VP775 only lasted a week before it failed, not to mention running extremely hot and noisy the entire time. When I dropped in the PrimoChill Enhanced D5 pump, it ran like a dream (cool and quiet). I'm so thankful I had this pump at the ready, otherwise my new x299 rig would have been down for days. I just wish I went with this pump from the beginning. In terms of looks, the VP775 wins out over this Enhanced D5, but I'd take a functional high performing pump over a noisy and unreliable beauty any day. The VP775 also seemed to generate more head pressure, but the Enhanced D5 has no problem moving water through my 2 GPUs, CPU Block, and 2 x 420 mm radiators. I recommend this as a first-line pump for anyone running a custom loop. Review: One of the better D5 PWMs you can buy. - Sleeving done ahead of time is worth the very modest price premium IMO. Cabling is a bit stuff, but can be easily softened with a heat gun. Overall, no issues. Sound signature is the same as the EK D5 had had previously. I find 800-2000rpm is the best range for low to to performance. Max RPM is obviously pretty loud, but still better than a DDC. Unless you have an Aquaero, I would advise running this thing with the Molex connection. Most headers can't provide 37w.

Good pump but...
Bought this to replace an EKWB pump that came with a broken pwm wire. Must disconnect pwm plug from motherboard to prime the system. If left plugged in it runs at very low speed. Unplugged it runs at 60% which is enough to prime your system and test for leaks. A little noisy at full speed.

Super NOISY!!!
I'm very disappointed with this pump because I spent a lot of money on my custom water cooling system and I got this NOISY PUMP!!! first of all I would like to say this is the second one that I try (the 1st one was noisier than this one) And is just insane how much it costs compare with the noise... I guess I have to try with other brands because this one is like having a plane turbine on my desk

Works great!
Even on the max setting this thing is quite. I plan to buy 2 for my dual custom water loop build. Pwm is the way to go if your motherboard supports it! Can control the speed of the pump automatically so that it's not running on a medium to high setting 24/7 lowering the pump life. Basically, your pumps should last longer on PWM connection!

Runs well but can't get more than 2 years out of them
Works well, no complaints. However, I can not get more than 2 years out of these. I have this mounted in a sideways configuration and after a while the plastic peg that serves as the point of contact wears out and the parts collide.

GREAT Pump
I've had it for almost a year now and it has worked perfectly. I use it with a DualMonsoon reservoir, two 480mm radiators, an EK cpu waterblock, an EK ram waterblock, a GPU water block, and way too much hose going to all of it and it gives me more than enough flow at around 30% speed. Of course, I increase the speed with an increase in heat but it has worked flawlessly with hundreds, if not thousands, of hours on it.

Cant go wrong with the original
What can i say, they are the old workhorse for waterloops. they make newer with more features. i didn't see the point, PWM control, Base 1200RPM on power only. 4500 max on PWM control. i really wish they would move to SATA power and loose the 4 pin molex but not dinging, that's still a valid connector and personal wish. These pumps will power your build, and all the brands stick a label on the same manufacture. these are good, i didn't have any issues, in boxing, shipping, working, noise, nothing. PrimoChill version is a not the cheapest, and if that's your priority (cost) you should be looking into AIO IMO. nothing cheap about custom loops.
