As others have mentioned, you get what you expect with this . . .
Works well for a few days now, kicks on at the set temp. It’s been reliable so far. Installation was simple—there’s a keyhole slot on the back to hang it on a screw. My only complaint is that it has just one mounting slot at the top, so the bottom isn’t fully secured. It includes a wired temperature probe, allowing flexible placement. I kept mine near the unit, and it reads accurately. The digital display is bright and easy to read, even from across the room at night. Programming is straightforward: hold the “Set” button, then adjust with the up/down arrows. Pros: Compact, accurate, bright display, easy setup Cons: Only one mounting slot; temperature adjustment requires holding “Set” first. So far, so good, happy and hope it holds up long term.

Cooling thermostat works really well!! I’ve got it hooked up an exhaust fan in my greenhouse and have it set to come on at whatever temperature I want and it does the job really well.

Easy to install and set.
I installed this controller for the exhaust fan in a generator enclosure. I like that it has a remote sensor that can be located close to the exhaust to turn on the fan when the generator is running. Seems to be accurate with temperature measurement. Note that it has a 3* dead-band when cycling on/off. Easy to mount, although I would prefer 2 mounting holes to maintain a stable position. Setting the set point is easy, instructions are clear. Just plug it in to power, plug in the fan and set the temp. Shows ambient temp when plugged in. We'll see how long it lasts in a hot environment.

Great Little Digital Power Controller Thermostat for Fan
This turned out to be a pretty cool little controller for my shed fan. I have been using it for about a month now. Been working perfectly. I have the temp set to 85 F in my shed. Kicks on every time when passing that mark. I have it powering my 10 in. shutter fan. Installing it was pretty straight forward. It has a slot on the back to allow you to slide over a screw. So, you would pick your spot and put screw for it to hang off. My only gripe here is that it only has one slot on the top back. Which leads to the unit not as secure at the bottom. It also comes with a temperature probe. The probe has an attached cord that allows you to place the temperate probe away from unit. I ended up just leaving my in a coil and close to unit. Seems to be reading temp just fine. But, this does allows you to place it closer to where you might want to measure your temp. The digital display on the unit is nice and bright. I can read it from across my shed and in the dark. The controls are easy to use. Adjustments are fairly simple. Simply hold down the "Set" button on the unit and you get in setting the target mode adjustment. Then you use the up and down buttons to set target temperature. Pretty easy. Pros: * Compact * Accurate Temperature * Bright Display (Red Digital Numbers) * Easy setup and programming Cons: * Needs a bottom screw slot for secure bottom of unit * Although it's simply to adjust the temp, it can be even better if the up and down buttons just let the adjust temperature target directly. Instead of having to hold down the set button. Overall I'm happy with the unit. Hopefully it lasts.

Does what it's meant to. Simple, and Effective!
I recently installed a ventilation fan in a media closet to keep heat levels down, and wanted a way to control the fan via thermostat without spending a bundle. This product was just what I needed. It's not complex, it's a thermostat controlled 120V AC outlet...nothing more fancy than that. I set mine at 75F and it reads temperature to a precision of one tenth of a degree F. The temperature reading probe is on a bit of a cord with a suction cup, so can be located a foot or two away from the main unit. The unit itself has a mounting hole on the back and can be hung on the wall. I was worried that it might "flicker" as it bounced around the set operating temperature, but seems to smooth that out and doesn't seem to suffer from that flicker-effect. I didn't see any compelling reason to buy the upgraded, newer version of this myself, as this one met my needs perfectly. A good choice here, if this is what you need!

Couldn't Be Simpler
We've got a 200 bottle wine cooler. It's suppose to be the best available. Unfortunately, who ever designed it didn't consider how it might be installed with very little airflow to vent the cooling coils. After three years the compressor gave up. The repair guy told me that unless some positive airflow was added we could expect to replace the compressor every three years. I added two low speed muffin fans but there was no way to connect them to the cooler so they would switch on when the compressor ran. I nosed around Amazon and found the BN-LINK Digital Cooling Thermostat Controller. At nineteen bucks it was a cheap device to try out. I got the fans installed and hooked up the BN-LINK. Plugged it in and watched it come on line. It displayed the ambient temp. It took about five seconds to set the trigger temp. Aimed a heat gun at the temp probe and watched the display show the temp increasing. As soon as the target temp was reached the fans started spinning. This is a great little device. Simple to install and program. The only suggestion I'd make is provide a little more space between the power outlet and the temp probe cable.

Can only handle 4 Amps for fan motors, not 8.3 Amps!
Per the spec sheet that arrives with this BN-LINK temperature controller, this unit can only handle 4 Amps for INDUCTIVE loads, such as fan motors! The description on this product falsely claims that it can handle 8.3 Amps for circulation box fans, but ALL electrical motors are INDUCTIVE loads! My 18 inch attic exhaust fan uses 5.6 amps, and thus I could not use a device rated for 4 amps to run a motor using 5.6 amps. I reviewed ALL of the reviews before I purchased this product, and wondered why many users complained that this product failed after using it for a year. If the reviewers used these controllers on fan motors that require more than four amps, it is a wonder that the controllers lasted for a year! - Amazon, please update this product listing to state that while this product can handle 8.3 Amps of RESISTIVE loads, such as lighting and heating, it can only handle FOUR Amps for INDUCTIVE loads, such as fan motors. The product does seem to be quite accurate, insofar as temperature control, but I could not use it for the attic fan motor that I had purchased it for.

Great product great price
this thing works awesome . just plug it in hold the up button for 3 seconds for Fahrenheit ,hold the down button for 3 seconds if you want Celsius, hold the yellow button for 3 seconds to set the time up or down.. hit the yellow button again and it set put the probe wherever you want the temperature to be adjusted ...I drilled a hole in the side of my solar panel this unit is not waterproof so if you use it out door like I am make sure it's protected and so is the probe... I'm using it as a thermal on off switch for my solar pool water heater I made a solar panel with 50 ft copper tubing inside glass encased [2 of them ] I wanted to have this turn on a sump pump sitting in the pool 18 inches below surface..I wanted this to come on when the solar panel got hot 100f... not on a timer because some days gets rainy... I have it hooked up to this sump pump... that pushes water to solar panels that are 6 feet below the pool surface ....15 ft away from the pool 100 feet of half inch outer diameter copper tubing works great... https://www.amazon.com/your-orders/pop/ref=oh_aui_i_d_old_o6?_encoding=UTF8&gen=canonical&lineItemId=kgjirqlpkjsrsny&orderId=112-8601220-8637060&packageId=1&returnSummaryId=&returnUnitIndices=&shipmentId=DZ6wthHSb It is a 52 inch high 12 foot by 24 foot Intex swimming pool the sump pump is 18 in below water surface With 2. 24 inch by 5 foot glass pane solar panels ...each 50 foot copper tubing inside it is able to raise the pool temperature approximately 10 degrees I'm at 60 gallons per hour As in water coming from pool is 70° going back in pool at 80-95f Over 6 hours it raises the entire pool somewhere between 1 and 3 degrees more then just the sun itself per day The pool is 8600 gal so the entire pool os turned over in 14 days 10 f warmer then just Sun itself Works especially good at the beginning and end of season to extend your pool use
