It looks great on my desk and helps to combat the excessively dry air of an overly air conditioned office building. My only issue is that the mist isn't dispersed much, but that does help to keep my keyboard and other electronics from accumulating moisture. It holds just enough water to run most of my work day. I have to set this somewhere overhead so that the mist makes it to my face/ nose when I'm sleeping. The mist gets dispersed from the top center so you need a draft/ breezing flowing your way, otherwise, the mist just falls back down onto the humidifier. Wish the cord was longer, but it is meant for use in the car.
