I NEVER write reviews... But this item is too special for me not to. Out of the hundreds of items I have purchased from Amazon, this is the 2nd one I felt compelled to write about. I had a dozen wine openers. I was unhappy with all of them. NOW I HAVE ONLY ONE! And I couldn't be happier! The quality is second to none! The ease of opening a wine bottle is the best EVER. This is a large opener, it has a long handle which gives it leverage for the ease and grace of opening a fine bottle of wine. IT IS BEAUTIFUL TOO! Heavy, and extremely well made... meaning it will last a lifetime. This will be the last wine opener I'll ever buy. And the value! OMG . . . I have high-end pocket knives that cost over $100.00 that have this kind of quality. If I would have seen this saw first in a retail store, and it would have been priced for $50.00, I would have bought it. I paid $12.05 for this. Again, I NEVER write reviews, but I felt I had no choice as I couldn't be happier!~

If you're into winetasting, or even if you're not, this is a high quality corkscrew. I've had it for a few years and am just writing this review. I've removed hundreds of corks with it and it is every bit as good as the day I got it, except that the small hinge has loosened slightly, but that is normal for this type of corkscrew. This has some heft to it, has a decently long corkscrew blade and due to its double knuckle design makes pulling corks very easy. If you're new to a double knuckle unit, you use the shortest prong that fits on the top of the bottle neck to get the cork started on its way out. Then you switch to the longer one so you have more leverage to take that cork out. Some tips on pulling corks, make sure you screw the corkscrew in until it extends out the bottom of the corks, I've seen plenty of corks separate and they are hard to remove after that. Once you start pulling, keep pulling using a uniform pressure. If you start and stop you may find the cork wants to separate due to the coefficient of friction of moving objects versus static objects. If the cork does separate, try to gently screw the corkscrew back in at an angle if you can, and gently but firmly pry the cork out pushing it against one side of the bottle neck to keep it in one piece.

This wine opener is better quality than I expected. It’s really nice stainless steel which means it will last a long time. I got this wine opener for work and wanted something that would last and put up with the constant use. First off this opener is heavy which I can tell this is sturdy and will last. Using the wine opener for the first night at work went well probably opened 2 dozen or more bottles of wine with out any issues. While opening the bottles of wine I first used the small knife that pulls out to cut the foil which worked smoothly. Then screwed into the cork and was able to pull it out smoothly with out having any broken pieces of cork fall into the bottle. The best part of this wine bottle opener is the part that holds onto the bottle while the cork is coming out it’s flexible it has a built in spring that makes it bounce back and forth. This is a very nice bottle open that has very detailed craftsman’s ship. This wine opener can also be used to open beer bottles and fits nicely in your pocket or apron while working.

Absolute delight to use and well made but chunky and heavy.

This is a much nicer product than I expected! With moving and lots of travel, I've lost my good corkscrew and just picked up cheap ones. I thought they would be OK as they...eventually...got to cork out of wine bottles. But, settled into a new home, this corkscrew looked solid and the reviews were good. Not only a nice, functional, easy-to-use corkscrew but a lovely piece of design and construction. Hefty as well! It's a keeper!

I have a drawer fill of waiter's cork screws and this is by far the first. I pulled it out of it's package and it is impressive, heavy and seemingly very well built. Then you try to plunge the spiral corkscrew into a cork and find it is bizarrely hard to get started. Then, the distance from the spiral to the two stage indentions is too large, causing the cork to bend and break as you pull it out. As you work your way to the second stage indention, it pinches the crap out of your hand. I've seriously had $5 waiter's cork screws that work much, much better. This seems to be more of a show piece than a functional corkscrew.

I can see it being a neat gift for your friend who is into, and and has a wine collection, large or small. It is impressive in both, size and style. Takes a short time to adjust in its' functional style. As a server, it looks impressive to those around. Some (including myself) however, may find it a bit bulky, and it does not have the traditional bottle opener. Larger and heavier than expected, but I concede the description was accurate.

Outstanding corkscrew! Quality is very high...piece of art and a joy to use. I have seen guests try to use the longer/double arm to start the cork and have difficulty...the better method is to use the single lever arm to start the cork and then to finish especially for longer corks using the "double" arm setup to pry the cork the final distance.The finely serrated curved blade works well. Note: not a criticism but for a waiter's style this is a substantial rather large and heavy corkscrew...great for home use...perhaps a tad bigger than some waiters may want to carry around in a pocket all evening.

Este sacacorchos tiene una presencia muy buena con calidades de primera y un peso que denota calidad a primera vista, tiene un grabado muy bonito en la parte superior. Owning a restaurant, means I go through so many corkscrews. At some point they all seem same. I have been looking at getting something like for a while. Eventually. I took the plunge. it is quite a long for a CorkScrew. However, I go through so many it is needed. Especially when some of the bottles are £50. It works smoothly and holds really well.

I really like this product - bought as alternative to le creuset in similar style as I believe this is discontinued and not disappointed. Excellent quality and durability, looks really high end. Packaging I feel let’s this down if it was to be a gift, a little tatty and cheap. Not a gift for me though and the product is perfect!

Qualità eccellente, sono cavatappi professionali, robusti e resistenti, aprono con facilità qualsiasi bottiglia, anche l'estetica è molto ben curata e hanno stile. Legno vero nei manici. Io personalmente ne tengo 2 a disposizione nella scrivania e uno sempre con me nel mio zaino. Corkas i migliori cavatappi di sempre!!!
