Works like a charm!
These Flush ’n Sparkle refills are super easy to use and deliver great results. The quality is solid, and they hold up well over time—no leaks, no fuss. They’re water-resistant and durable, and I’ve noticed a real difference in stain removal. My toilet stays cleaner between scrubs, and the system works consistently with every flush. Definitely a smart, low-effort way to keep things fresh!

The Fluidmaster 8102 blue detergent cartridges are working as well or better for my situtation
I have been using the Fluidmaster Flush 'n Sparkle Cleaning system for about four years to help control black mold and mildew that tends to grow under the rim and in the bowl. The chlorine bleach cartridges have definitely helped control the excessive mold and mildew buildup but I still needed to manually clean the bowl every week or two to keep the problem under control. I recently decided to try out the blue cartridges to see how well they worked and see if there was any difference. To my surprise it seems as though the blue detergent cartridges are doing a better job at controlling the mildew under the rim of my toilet than the white chlorine cartridges were. My water supply tends to be heavy in minerals (particularly calcium) and it is treated strongly with chlorine/chloramine. It seems both the white and blue cartridge work well but their effectiveness might depend on how chlorinated your water supply already is and what type of growth or deposits you are getting in your toilet bowl. Conclusion: I recommend that users of the Fluidmaster system test both types or try alternating both types of cleaning cartridges and see which works best for your particular situation. As a plus the blue detergent cartridges are less expensive but unfortunately they do need to be replaced more often than the bleach ones which for me last up to four months. I would also suggest installing a fill valve with a system to control the flow of wasted excess water from overfilling the bowl. I am using the HydroClean HC660 fill valve with a built in water bowl overflow control but Fluidmaster also sells a good system that can be added on to an existing fill valve and adapted with an adjustable pinch roller with pressure clamps that slide on tubing between the fill valve and the Flush and Sparkle system (or use the complete kit, Fluidmaster 400ARHR High Performance Toilet Fill Valve). These help control how much water flows through the cartridge cleaning system so that your cleaner and water mixture doesn't just flow down the drain along with excess wasted water.

Jury is still out. Mixed results with life of cartridges
I realize "up to three months" is advertising hype, but my experience has been quite inconsistent. Sometimes cartridge will last a couple months, sometimes it's depleted in a week or so. Read that there were some lots that had abnormally short life, so I'm giving it a chance.

Great idea but...
Don't buy It is said on the box that the blue water would last for three months. Great but it barely lasted three weeks. When I first install it the water was very dark blue. Next few times it lighting up, but then it got lighter. I check it to see how much was left the a all gone. This makes me think that the clear one is the same.

Easy to install and keeps the toilet fresh
This works exactly as described. Installation was quick and simple, and it fits nicely inside the tank without getting in the way. Once installed, it automatically cleans and freshens the toilet with every flush, which is super convenient. I like that the cleaner is hidden inside the tank, so there’s no bulky device hanging in the bowl. It keeps the toilet smelling fresh and helps prevent buildup between regular cleanings.

are these real?
I suspect these are fake. They don't do anything as far as cleaning; they just color the water, and it only lasts 20 to 30 flushes for me. They were better but are now no good to me, and I cancelled my subscribe and save.

Dissapointed. These do not work like the old ones.
This is going to be a long review. First off, let me say i have been using this product for years. I actually stockpiled several refills years ago when my local hardware store decided to stop selling them. I relied on these very heavily because my water is very hard and it helped keep my bowl clean between manual cleanings so I don't need to spend as much time cleaning calcified deposits out of the bowl. I really liked them, even though they were expensive and never got the amount of time out of a cartridge that i hoped. This year i used up the last of my stockpiled cartridges and ordered these (same model number). Immediately i could tell a difference. Previously, when i first installed a cartridge, the water would be so blue it would be almost opaque. The cleaning action was good too. When i installed this new one, the blue dye was faint, almost at the level of 4 weeks use on the old ones. The blue dye is cosmetic, so i figured there was a formula change and waited to see how well it worked. After only a month there was very little color left, and it definitely wasn't doing the cleaning job well (was back to alot of manual labor to clean the bowel). I contacted the company. They said there was no change in the product formula, and sent me two replacement cartridges and a prepaid box to return the one unused cartridge from the box that I had a bad experience with. When I tried to remove the new cartridge from the dispenser (no longer any blue color and not working for cleaning) i found the dispenser was full of thick gooey blue sludge which was not dissolving easily. I removed the dispenser and rinsed it clean in the kitchen sink (took a long time). The new cartridge that the company sent me was better, but also CLEARLY different. The blue tint was again not anywhere near as dark as the older ones that i ran out of, but it was much better than the last one. So clearly, despite what the company says, the formulation HAS changed. This new one was helping to clean, unlike the last one. Today the blue dye was almost gone again, so i went to replace the cartridge. I pulled it out and found that it wasn't empty, and again the dispenser was full of blue sludge (but not as bad as the last cartridge). Removing it and re-inserting it seems to have displaced the sludge enough that the cleaner is coming out with strong color again. I'm going to try this trick for the next few weeks when the dye fades again. It seems pretty clear that the formulation of this has changed, and the stuff turns into blue sludge (at least in hard water). I'm not sure what I'm going to do, because, as i said, I really rely on these things. Maybe I'll try the bleach cartridges instead.

Purchased this from Amazon US as they are not available in Australia even tho Fluidmaster toilet cistern spares are,I spoke with Fluidmaster here in Australia told him i had a Coroma float in my cistern and he told me how to make it work for the Fluidmaster device. It works as is described in the brochure/ add but the colour/cleaner cartridge seems to clog up and doesn't allow the product to dispense. Searching through my shed i found a Fluidmaster valve and float assembly purchased as a replacement along time back but never got around to using it, I will install this in my cistern although the operation appears to be the same hookup as the Coroma float, If it works I will modify this review to reflect same.

Have purchased the clear refills in the past. First time purchasing the blue tinted refill. The price offered from this supplier was more economical than the clear. Keeps the bowl clean and free of stains. Note these are refills only and require the fluidmaster toilet bowl cleaning system.

Love these but a bit expensive for just 2 refills.

When I bought the kit seemed to work. Not too bad. When I put in refills it never worked at all. It just plugged up the holes and wouldn't clean or change your watercolor. Waste of money

I bought these for a business to go in the washrooms that do not get used as much. These are odorless, and after a year or two of use, I can't say that they helped keep the bowl cleaner longer, and they also leave a solid blue line around the bowl if not flushes at least once a day. Will not continue to purchase.
