These boots are worth every penny. The ankle support is perfect and adjustable, the waterproofing works well even with the bottom half of the boot submerged. They have held up extermely with the first 50 or so miles I have put on them in the Wind River range of Wyoming. Fit is true to size, with the foot held securely in the boot, and the boot holding securely on even riverbeds. Would recommend without reservation! Well done Salomon!

Para senderismo y media montaña son muy buenas. Para la gente de pie ancho quedan bien pero a veces puede llegar a incomodar al apretar las agujetas. Igualmente buenas para caminatas en calor, no son muy calurosas pero en momentos de frío hacen su trabajo.

The last Salomon Boots purchases have been the same pairs as they were so good I didn't want to have to change. Inevitably, they were eventually no longer available so I decided on these. The waterproof mention was a big reason for getting them as the hills can be very wet! They don't fit as well as older Salomon shoes - the tongue is just too big and soft and makes the boot feel less secure than I expected. The laces are too short to wrap back and forth along the points and then be able to make a double knot. A double knot is needed as these laces routinely come undone in a single knot. They felt different but not uncomfortable. The first walks were okay, and my feet remained dry in showers or when walking across wet grass. Unfortunately, that didn't last long and now if there is any wet terrain on walks my feet also get wet, and remain soaked for the rest of the walk. Funny, as these boots are the first that mentioned being waterproof, while my old ones kept my feet dry throughout their use, it was their soles that wore away beyond safe use. Hopefully not indicative of a general reduction in Salomon quality, but I'm no longer inspired to go with this brand for my next boots, which I'll now need. Lasted less than four months.
