Please read the description carefully! I didn't, assumed I would get sheets, and I didn't, of course. There is a sham, a bed skirt (solid black) and the comforter itself. That is all. I would say it is a lightweight comforter, so you will probably also need a blanket with it unless you live in a warmer climate. The black background is very dramatic, and the comforter does glow, if it's held up to a light for a few minutes. We haven't tested it just with daylight on a bed, but I have my doubts that it will work that way. It is a nice comforter but I do wish that for the price, sheets would have been included. I really didn't intend to spend $75 for a comforter without sheets.Update 8/26/2012: My son says the glowing parts DO glow without extra light applied, and he likes the comforter very much. I had glow-in-the-dark fabric paint I added to the top of this comforter because this particular one did not light up well. Run a flashlight over it (black light flashlight charges up the colors tremendously!) while the lights are off for some extra fun. It is like you are painting with light.
