We were in between this product and a Berkey. Researched and compared, and this water filter 'filters' more than a Berkey for 1/3 the price. We've been using it for over 3 months and love it. The water in Alaska has a brown tinge due to the taking from the trees, and the Purewell, strips the water and it comes out crystal clear. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants a non-electric way to filter their water. We also have an electric water filter, but when you're off grid and counting watts in the winter (solar power), this is an excellent back up for us.
