Excellent hat for cost
I was looking for a Navy blue or kaki colored fedora which would complament one or two of my suits. I ended up browsing for a couple of hours on Amazon and a couple of other sites, then decided to try out the Stacy Adams brand. I love fedoras and many of their variations, however higher quality hats tend to be quite expensive. I have also found that a higher price does not always mean a higher quality from certain companies (SCALA). This hat was a gamble, the pictures looked nice and the price was very alluring and I must say my gamble paid off. The hat is of above average quality for its price range. What I mean by this, is the fedora was only $53 after tax and it is the second best looking fedora I now own. The first being a custom made from a specialty store. I picked the Navy blue and although it looks a bit darker than the picture portrays, I was under the assumtion it would be very dark. The material is wool felt, nothing fancy but resliant and comfy. The hat retains its shape very well, though I admit I have only had it for a couple weeks. It survived its first sit on, the first day I had it. As advertised, I simply popped it back into shape and it looked like nothing had happened (other than a bit of readjusting with the feather and ribbon). The ribbon is considerably larger than I expected, this is a good thing. Most company's skimp out on the details with the ribbon and feather, Stacy Adams however, did not. The ribbon and feather are of both good quality and can be adjusted to whatever style you would like. Due to the above average amount of ribbon given, it can be folded tucked or pulled out in any manner you choose. Inside was also refreshingly well crafted. Many of my other 'cheap' fedora's have little or no effort put into the inside. On the inside there is a cushion which braces your head and a two tone stlyish interrior exists. A couple of reviews mention the Stacy Adams gold colored metal pin. Some review make it out to be brazen, large and gaudie. This was a touch worrysome for me, however I can happily state that the rumors are not actually true. Perhaps they simply did not like the style, but the pin just past 2 cms or 3/4 of an inch wide and only 1.5 cm or just past half an inch tall (at its furthest points) dimond shaped pin. Quite small and even then it is not an ugly logo so I hope I can reassure anyone who was distraught over that little detail. In summary, Stacy Adams has produced a well made fedora for an excellent price. It is not a high quality fedora, however considering its material, capablities; crushable and price, I think it would be highly unlikely to find a better deal. I intend to buy another of this same style in a diffrent color (most likely the white, grey or Kaki) and encourage anyone else who is looking for a decent fedora without breaking their wallet to search no more and pick one up.

Another EXCELLENT PRODUCT listed on Amazon
Excellent high-quality item, great looks and design, value for your money, great size and fit, comfortable, durable, my main issue would be best to package the hat in a box, not a bag, due to mishandling or damage.

Nice enough.
The good and the bad. The Good: Feels great and fits nicely (find out what size you wear before you buy). It's a crushable hat. This means you can sit on it without totally wrecking the shape. Sturdier hats have to be completely reshaped to look right after such accidents. If you don't want a soft pliable hat, then don't get this one. The Bad: The front of the brim is curled up. I will have to steam and shape the brim so the front dips down a bit. Looks kinda silly with the front curled up like it is. I took out the Stacy Adams pin (easy to remove, it just slides off) and the feather. I don't like feathers on fedoras and placed one of my own pins over the spot where the old pin was (to cover the glue, for the old pin?) After I reshape the brim I may consider getting other colors.

A nice, stylish hat
I had to return my first hat because I ordered a size too small (measuring error on my part, that hats size true). In the end, XL was the right size for me, but because it was fulfilled by amazon, returning the first one was simple and free. This hat has a curved brim all the way around which to me do not quite match the definition of fedora which should be flat and folded down at the front. (You can of course pop the brim at the front to fold it down, but any bumps will cause it to fold back up and be rounded.) The black ribbon on my black hat looks great. The feathers vary a little in quality, but I like the one on my XL hat which I've been told looked better than the one on the L hat I had first. (I didn't pay that much attention too the feather on it since it didn't fit.)

Great quality for a great price. This hat gets my highest rating.
I bought this grey Stacy Adams fedora because I already own this same hat in black and also in chocolate, so I am already familiar with the quality and comfort of this hat. I also own some other different brands of fedoras but this one's my favorite. Fits perfect on my head and keeps it warm on cold wintery days. Looks very stylish and goes well with both formal and casual attire. I always get compliments from friends as well as strangers when I wear my fedora. Completely satisfied with my purchase.

Made for a good The Question hat.
I'm not an expert on hats and am not the sort of person who would walk around wearing a fedora. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it just isn't my style. This fedora is high quality, definitely not a costume hat by any measure. I purchased this hat as a rather extravagant addition to a Halloween costume. My daughter wanted our family to dress as their favorite Justice League characters. Wife went as Wonder Woman, daughter as Hawkgirl, myself as The Question. I had a harder time finding a blue fedora than I expected, at least one that looked the part. I didn't want to spend so much money but since the rest of my costume was homemade I splurged a bit and bought this hat. Not much use for it now that Halloween is over, unless I decide to reprise my role and frighten children again with the faceless mask, but it served its purpose quite well. Poured down rain on us during Beggar's Night but this fedora did a great job keeping me dry (quite a concern when you just spent an hour applying a faceless mask.)

Handsome Fedora
I love the looks, fit and feel of this hat. I can't go anywhere with it on and not receive at least one or two compliments. One thing worth noting is that the fedora has a very nice liner that was surprisingly to me not mentioned it it's description. One other thing you might want to consider is that after wearing my fedora for a few days to a week, it seems to have stretch a little, nothing excessive just a little loser than I'd like the fit to be. It is an easy fix to get it back to a somewhat snugger fit again so I'm not considering that as flaw in the hat. I'll size it down just a bit with a hat sizer that is sold here on Amazon.com or there is an even less expensive way to size it down slightly.

... realize that one is not going to get the finest fedora for forty-five bucks
I realize that one is not going to get the finest fedora for forty-five bucks. So, with modest expectations I awaited the arrival of this hat. And if, like me, you await it with modest expectations, lower your expectations. The structure of the hat itself is OK. It looks like it will hold up well. But this hat arrived with problems that a consumer should not have to put up with. Well, the hat is crushable. That's one of its features. And apparently, some genius had the idea showing off this feature by shipping the hat crushed. How crushed? Imagine taking off this hat, squeezing it in one hand, and shoving it into a tight spot in the overhead compartment of a 737. Now, imagine the plane crashes. That a crushable hat should be crushed is not a problem. But this hat was damaged. The satin band around the outside was detached. And there was a blob of dried glue on the left side of the hat that presumably once held the feather in place. I can live without the feather, but I do like the look of the satin band. You wouldn't think that wrapping the band back around the hat would be a challenge. But you'd be wrong. The satin is frayed and unfinished around the edges. In spite of my most careful efforts, I can't seem to get the band right. I finally had it looking pretty much like the picture, but as I've worn and handled the hat, creases of the band manage to unfold themselves, exposing the frayed edges, whereupon the hat looks like crap. If I had wanted a hat that needed the attention of a haberdasher, I wouldn't have bought a hat that one should be able to wear right out of the package. But if I can get it, and keep it, looking as cool as the one pictured, I might come back and give it a fourth star.

Great classic chintzy fedora (narrow brim)
Great classic chintzy fedora (narrow brim); good value for the price. I don't think I would have paid 3X as much for the loud fancy pimp colours, though I'm sure someone will. Even though this is made in China, hat fits perfectly to American size standards.

Very nice hat! It seems to be well made
Very nice hat! It seems to be well made. It fits a bit larger than I thought it would. The hat-band was wrinkled up and not neatly creased all the way around the hat when I received it. I took an iron to the hat (on the "wool" setting on the iron) and smoothed the band back down. It worked well.

Best fitting fedora I've ever had my Nomal hat size is medium but when I used Amazon's size guide and measured my head I was on the small scale size of spectrum for large and I shave my head but bigot the large and it's a perfect fit
