Fox Shox Mudguard XL k Fender - 36/38 Direct-Mount Black

This fender attaches to the Fox fork (36 or 38) at four points: the two large ports/pressure relieve button locations on the fork body lowers, and at two points on the cross-bar that connects the left & right fork stanchions together. No additional hardware is needed. The two small bolts with thread-locker already applied attaches the fork to the stanchion cross-member, and uses the fork vent port closure bolt itself to attach the fender to the fork bodies. Fender is sturdy and very secure. Looks good and performs well.

It really helps block a lot of the sand that blows forward then up into my face much better than I expected.

This was a perfect fit ro my FOX fork and a breeze to install. Took less than 5 minutes. The only thing I wish was different was the design where it uses the relief nut to install doesn't allow me to put back on the rubber caps.

I like the size and shape of the fender. Mounts perfectly on the Fox 36. For install, I recommend that you lay the bike down with the front tire off and the shock mount point screws facing upwards to prevent any possible oil leakage from the shock tubes. Other than that, its a solid addition to the bike for aiding mud and water deflection without a lot of extra weight.

Took an unusually long time to receive the fender. After receiving it, I found out that it doesn't fit my Fox 36 forks. Then, having salt rubbed in the wound, I had to pay return shipping in order to receive a partial refund. Waste of time and money.

This a great-looking mudguard. The installation is easy enough and fits solidly into place, looks like part of the bike. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with tray type of bike racks where you need to secure the bike with a clamp arm over the front tire (eg. Thule T2 Pro), as you would need to clamp it where the mudguard sticks out. So if you plan to use such a type of racks, get a smaller mudguard that does not stick out under the fork crown.

I ride a Specialized Turbo Levo, and the front fork isn’t designed with mounting points for traditional mudguards. Still, I was desperate for a mudguard because mud and debris were constantly flying into my face, especially after riding in wet conditions. I took a chance on this mudguard, and I’m glad I did! Even though my fork wasn’t technically compatible, I was able to securely attach the mudguard using zip ties. It stayed in place through some pretty rough trails and does an excellent job keeping dirt, water, and debris off my face and chest. If you have a Fox fork with the proper mounting points, I can only imagine how much better the fit and finish would be. But even for bikes like mine, with a little creativity, this mudguard absolutely delivers. Super happy with the performance and coverage!
