**Q: Can the formal bow tie be worn all day at work?**
A: Depends what you do. I could wear it all day in the office, people would notice. More likely you'd wear it for half hour, take a break, repeat.

**Q: What is the difference between the casual and formal braces? Can they both be worn to workout classes (yoga and pilates)?**
A: Based on my own experience, I can answer your second question.  My power lifting coach wanted me to get the Bowtie to help straighten my back and pinch my blades together.  My upper back is very rounded due to many long hours playing the piano so my Bowtie is very tight. (which means it's strong enough to help my back correct) I cannot do anything else while I'm wearing it.  In the gym, my fellow lifters basically wear their Bowties only during warm-ups.  Some with greater mobility than I.  So your mobility will depend on how much your back needs to straighten.  But I would say you probably won't be able to wear it during class.
