Anyone using this to mix miniature paints? How is it working out for you?

I bought this for the express purpose of mixing my miniature paints. I've found that it works well- though you can expect to spend more time mixing paints that are pretty far gone. With a little added medium and a stainless mixing ball added, I've found i can reclaim paints I would have probably thrown away before. As far as how it works with paints that just need mixing, it works perfectly well. Some paints take longer than others, and I've found that swapping the orientation from lid up to lid down a couple of times during the process gives a better mix. I use it for GW pots and Army Painter dropper bottles and it works just fine for both styles.

How well does it mix tamiya paints?

I’ve used it to mix many different companies paints and have not found one yet that it doesn’t mix. There is nothing about tamiya paints that would indicate this wouldn’t mix them just as well.

Question 4

I have 26mm (1 inch) diameter flat bottom high recovery vials, will this fit into the mixer interface?  TIA!

The cup itself is approximately 3/4”- just a bit less- however, you do not have to actually place the entire tube into the cup to get the benefits of the mixer. I regularly use it for mixing containers with over 2” mostly flat bottoms. I haven’t noticed any difference in the mixing ability whether it is in the cup portion or just held against the top of the mixer.
