AMAZON BUYERS (and those at many other merchant sites): these filters are for the now-Discontinued Brita STREAM and will not fit any standard Brita water pitcher that, by design, has a filtering tank built into the top in which water is filtered once poured in via the flap on the cover. These Brita STREAM filters are great, easy to clean, and allow for quick flow of water at the time you are serving or collecting the water from the filter pitcher. Again: these filters twist onto the front of the pitcher lid and the pitcher doesn’t feature a water capture basin at all. Water placed in the pitcher is filtered only when it flows through the filter and out the spout when physically pouring from the pitcher. This means you can fill the pitcher to its maximum volume without having to wait for the water to be filtered and create more room in the top basin before l adding more water.

I used to order these from my local Walmart or Target. But they were difficult to find either bc they were low in stock or shipping from their warehouse took too long. Glad I found them here. I use these filters for 2 pitchers that stay at room temp for coffee/espresso machine and cooking. And occasionally when we are looking to drink room temp water. The water tastes fresh, it’s easy to install and use, the filter speed is great bc it filters as you pour, and lasts us a long while considering we don’t use it to consume our regular water drinking

These are replacement filters for a Brita Stream pitcher. Installing the filter isn't 100% intuitive - I accidentally tossed the filter casing in the trash and had to retrieve it (and thoroughly clean it) once I figured out that it wasn't part of the disposable filter! My tap water isn't the best - these filters remove impurities and leave great tasting water. However, the pitcher needs to be at least 3/4 full for it to pour reasonably quickly. Once it is below half full, the flow slows to a trickle. Not the end of the world, but it can sometimes be a little annoying. This design filters the water as you pour instead of when you add water to it, which eliminates the top-heavy issue I experienced when using an earlier model Brita Pitcher and a Pur Pitcher. I would buy this pitcher again, and I will for sure buy more of these filters.

These work great in the brita filter that we have in our fridge. Very simple to use, just follow the instructions for rinsing it out before first use. We find that it lasts longer than the recommended two months noted on the packaging, even though we are drinking tons and tons of water through the filter.
