Works great wish I had gotten sooner

I ordered this beater blade and chute combination, and only received the blade, which is made of cheap plastic. Do not bother with this seller.

I assumed by the price and other attachments I got for the mixer were metal, that this would be. It’s a lighter plastic material. I haven’t used it yet, hopefully it won’t break.

I purchased a 5qt refurbished Kitchenaid Artisan mixer. When I saw that it came with a shield I was going to get that but came across some not so good reviews about that shield. From having a hard time getting it on and off to the pouring spout being too small to add ingredients, I decided to try something else. I came across this universal chute while looking for a better shield and purchased it because of the positive reviews. This shield did what I needed but I gave it four stars because I almost made several messy attempts while trying to pour flour and oatmeal into my mixer. I was making cookies. If I hadn't been paying attention, the wide spout I was pouring my ingredients from would've spilled all over the place because the ingredients were coming out fast! Next time I make something where it requires me to pour the ingredients I'm going to put them in my measuring cup. The pour is easier and cleaner. I also tried this chute on several bowls that had different rims. I have some plastic mixing bowls from my local dollar tree that works but the chute is so heavy I would have to hold the bowl with one hand and and try to pour the ingredients with the other. Not to mention that I accidentally hit the chute which caused it to fall off the mixing bowl and it chipped a small area of paint off my stove! That's just how heavy this thing is! This also worked on my T-Fal stock pot. It didn't work on the stainless steel mixing bowls I purchased from Amazon though. The rim was almost the same as my plastic mixing bowls but for some odd reason this chute just didn't work. All in all using my refurbished mixer while pouring the ingredients into the bowl while it was mixing took tremendous time off of my hands. I'm glad I purchased both of these because hand mixing cookie dough is like trying to mix concrete with a plastic spoon and I don't have the arm strength for that.

This was a total fail that went straight to goodwill. Doesn't fit older bowls/machines.

The beater blade is made of plastic, which came as a surprise to me because no where in the product description does it say this. Even the packaging doesn’t say what the material is. I avoid plastic in my kitchen and I’m definitely not comfortable using it in my mixer, so I had to return it.

This is the third one of these beaters I have purchased. Used almost solely for cookie dough or dips. Works great for about a year and all have broken by then. Why can’t they make it out of a sturdier material? Not sturdy

I purchased the Kitchen Aid Original Beater Blade for my daughter. She is extremely pleased with the functionality of this item. It performs exactly as expected.

Perfect fit and a great help

I bought the paddle and shoot combo and I’m telling you run don’t walk!! It scrapes the sides of the bowl as stated and I just kept adding ingredients using the shoot. I’m so happy I bought this!!
