Worth its Weight in Gold
This thing is amazing. Our school cancelled the in the car driving training for drivers ed because of Covid (even though the rest of life is normal here!) So we were told the parents have to do all the driving in addition to the regular 50 practice hours the state requires. So pretty much all the high school kids are supposed to be practicing on their parents cars, out on the road, with no safety brake. It is terrifying to have no ability to keep your kid and your car and everyone else safe and everyone I know keeps saying they donโt take their kid much because itโs awful. I felt that way too, started researching is there a way to install a brake (sooo much money), can you rent a drivers Ed car (no) and then found this. Reviews were good so I figured hey itโs cheap, why not. Easy to install, just push it onto the thing that the brake is connected to then attach the band to the mirror. When you want to take it off thereโs a button you push and you can pull it off the brake. The best part, it works!!! It made it possible to feel safer about taking her out, she got to go practice and now she can drive. 100% BUY THIS, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. So much peace of mind!

A must have for teaching a new driver.
A must have for teaching a new driver. I can actually go out with my daughter without having a heart attack every time we go for a lesson. I keep my hand near it and it works perfectly whenever I need to apply the brake. I've already used it in three different cars. Installs in seconds and comes off just as fast and it just fits and works.

Now on kid number 2
Great product. Does what it claims. My son learned to drive with this device attached and my sweaty palm gripping the Wingbrake knob tight. It works! Now teaching my daughter with the same device.

Not perfect, but 1000% better than having nothing at all
So, my 16 yo is learning to drive and I was the lucky one to draw the exclusive privilege of being the designated parent with whom (and in whose car) the kid gets to practiceโฆ. So uhm, yeahโฆ the prospect was utterly terrifying for BOTH of us for more or less the same reasons, as it turned out - that they were going to hit the road without a proverbial safety net and expected not to crash and/or injure anyone or anything in the process, all while having no clue what theyโre doing and how itโs supposed to be done. In my humble opinion, at only $100, this contraption is an absolute must have for anyone whoโs riding shotgun with a student (and possibly even a newly licensed) driver, for reducing stress levels for both the student and the mentor. My teen (and also their friend whom Iโd taken out on their first few practice drives because their parents couldnโt) were visibly more at ease after a quick demonstration of how the Wingbrake works and seeing that an experienced driver will have their back if and when need be. The contraption comes fully assembled and seems to be decently well made for the job. Installation in the car takes less than a minute, so does taking it off when done. It works EXACTLY as shown in the demo videos, and is stupidly simple and straightforward to operate in real life. Not so much if you find yourselves in a situation where you need to reach over from the passenger seat to take control of the steering wheel AND press the brake at the same time, but thankfully (and hopefully) such circumstances should be few and far between, if at all. No, using this is not anywhere near as second nature and comfortable as using a foot brake pedal would be. No, it doesnโt cut out acceleration if the driver doesnโt take their foot off the gas pedal at the same time that you press the Wingbrake (RPMs will rev as the car stops, just like pressing gas and break at the same time, because thatโs exactly how it works). But yes, the car will decelerate and/or stop if already moving and wonโt move from standstill unless the Wingbrake is released. Itโs not obtrusive in the car and doesnโt interfere with the driverโs access or control of the wheel, pedals, or any buttons or levers. It doesnโt rattle in my car, though that somewhat depends on how loosely I hang it from the mirror. It just works, and it keeps me from turning into a hyperventilating anxious wreck in fear for my life next to my student driver. Most of the time, I donโt need to use it at all the entire time weโre driving, but itโs worth every penny to me to know that itโs there if or when we need it. What else is there to say?

Super product, saved me so much money VS install a real passenger side brake
I looked high and low for how to economically get a brake which I can apply while a relative I was helping out was learning to drive. I looked up passenger side brake kits and they cost 100's of dollars + installation cost. I could find only one mechanic shop (which also was 15 miles away) who would install such a thing and will again charge many 100's for the job. The total cost would be affordable and I would end up with a permanently modified car. Then I found this, first I was skeptical, but I thought, I would just return it in case it does not work. But when I got it, it took only 10 seconds to install and it is so easy to operate, it is also well made and sturdy. I am amazed why other people did not think of such a product. I am very happy.

A life saver
I taught drivers' education to high school students for 10 years. I probably taught over 800 teenagers how to drive but I was never nervous because there was a brake pedal mounted to the passenger-side floor of the school's vehicle. Fast forward many years and now it's time to teach my own teenage daughter how to drive using my own personal vehicle. Just one trip around the block gave me gray hair because I didn't have the passenger-side brake. Then I came across Wingbrake on Amazon. What a life-saver. It already prevented two fender-benders in the last three weeks. Although it's not as good as a permanently mounted brake pedal on the passenger side, it's easy to use and then remove. A great insurance policy and piece of mind.

Perfect for my son with learning disabilities
I have taught my 4 children to drive. One of my sons has ADHD and learning disabilities. We took a LONG time making sure he was safe but he was very nervous in the beginning, probably more than I was. When I was researching things to help him I came across this item and decided that it could not hurt to give it a try. It made us both more at ease during the first few months. I plastered the van all over with โstudent driverโ magnets and people on the road were kind, courteous and patient (if that was you thank you). I am happy to report that he has been driving for almost 5 years now with ZERO incidents on the road. My younger children have also learned to drive and I have loaned this out to other families who have found it useful in the beginning also. Its the kind of thing they should tell you about at the DMV or Drivers Ed or maybe your insurance agent, I think its great.

Good thing to use when you are teaching someone how to drive
I got this product for my friend who is a driving teacher, he is happy to get it at such a low price compare to other products available in the market. The best feature is, you can quickly put on or remove according to your choice.
