Dead simple to use, built like a tank.
Works fantastically! I used this for the first time this morning when leading worship for our house church. Me on acoustic with my guitar and this running into my Fishman Loudbox acoustic amp. It added a ton of energy to the sound, and was easy to eq a tight, snappy sound out of, even just through an acoustic guitar amp. I also recently heard a worship leader buddy use this at his church when they were without a drummer, and it filled out the sound nicely and added a great feel and energy to their sound as well. Once I heard it, I knew I just had to have one for myself. It seems a bit overpriced for what it is, based on what I've read online, but it feels very solid, is well-built, and feels like an absolute tank of a pedal. I hope it lasts, as durability is suspect based on reviews, but so far I am very happy with it. I was using an acoustic BeatBox with an actual kick drum pedal before this, which is kind of a pain to set up for a non-drummer like myself, and is a bit more tiring to use and requires a more controlled technique with the kickdrum pedal. This is dead simple. Plug it in, set your foot on it (much easier to do seated than standing), and tap away. And it's responsive to how and where you tap, which can lend itself to some slight tonal variations, which can be interesting and a good thing I have yet to explore. All in all, I am very pleased.

A Working Solo Artist's Dream Night After Night
After about 50 or so shows with the Wazinator Dropkick: so far, it's been worth every penny! I'd been searching for the solution to a lot of problems I've had with other foot drum products, including tone, EQ, durability, and ease of use (mainly the fact that a 'toe-tapping' type of stomp pedal will slowly slide away from me throughout the set, leaving me in some pretty strange positions by the end of a song!). As someone who plays approx 4-5 nights a week, about half of them in a solo or scaled-down band format, I look for something I can't break, sets up quickly, looks great onstage, and that some strange sound man that I've never worked with can make sound good. With other wooden/floor stomp pedals, I have to constantly explain the EQ that I want to sound like a kick drum. Ex: "bring the bass way up" (which they never do, they always just slightly turn it to the right), "turn the treble all the way down" (which heaven forbid, they listen to me). It's exhausting and kills a ton of time. Not with the Dropkick. I just give them the pedal and let the subs (and it's natural settings) do the work. A flat EQ with a slight adjustment, and we have a great sound (and a shorter soundcheck). Also, in the absence of a drum pedal that pushes back, there's a comfort to having your heel on a pedal, instead of tapping something elevated. There's a nice natural 'slide' I can manage with a boot heel, and my toe doesn't have to raise up so high, my ankle starts to tire. It just feels natural, and after a 3-4 hour gig, that's a blessing. Keep up the good work, Wazinator!

Fantastic kick drum replacement 🙌
I used to drag a kick drum out from our drummers set whenever he couldn’t play so our acoustic guitar player could add some extra kick to the rhythm. It was such a pain but I was skeptical of trying out a stomp box as I felt nothing could compete with a standard kick. I stand absolutely corrected, this thing is fantastic. It provides such a full and warm kick sound and is sensitive enough to give plenty of room for dynamic playing. I appreciate how sturdy and solidIt was built so you can really stomp on it with no guilt. I will say it’s sensitive enough that it requires much little energy compared to a standard kick drum so you can play it to no end. Super solid stuff. 👍 10/10

Great product, substandard customer service
First… I love this drop kick. After using several other similar devices, this just works and sounds fantastic (I actually have two of them now). This is used in an acoustic trio and has a great, organic sound that really adds to the performance. Sounds great out of the box but you can eq easily to taste. Perfect size and built like a tank. Only issue from my experience- this second unit’s neoprene bag has a very musty smell to it - to the point I can’t use it. It was immediately apparent when I opened the box. I cannot seem to get a response from them on this issue - just looking for a replacement bag. It’s unfortunate that this simple request has tarnished their reputation for me.

Failed after only a few hours use, but mfg support was great
UPDATE: I emailed Wazinator (in Australia) on a Saturday afternoon (from CA, USA) about the failure and received a response within a few hours - stating they would send me a repair kit. Monday afternoon the kit was on my doorstep! Talk about great support. I'm upgrading the review to 4 stars....though I'd give their service 10 stars if I could. The early failure still concerns me, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt at the moment. If it fails again I'll adjust the review accordingly. Initially I was quite pleased with the Wazinator. It appeared well built, and with a little compression and EQ, sounded quite good. I practiced with it a few times, including a short rehearsal with a bandmate, but with far less than 5 hours use, it is now broken. Tapping the pedal now produces a "da dump" sound, not a single hit, but a hit and a bounce, totally useless and unacceptable for something in this price point. I have contacted the manufacture and will update my review accordingly. But given they are in Australia and I'm in the US, it looks like a return to Amazon will be the only realistic option. I have lost confidence I can depend on this for a kickdrum alternative in a live performance. BTW, I should add I only used the Wazinator bare foot, was seated, and I'm about 160 lbs, so it's not like a 300 lb dude with boots was jumping on it.

SOUNDS LIKE A KICK DRUM
I don't know how many of these I have built or tried to build only to have them sound like a piezo stuck on a board and ended up just throwing them away. Now true I could have hired a drummer for the price. But I would have had to take a chance they would know the songs, not over play, keep time hopefully, show up sober, or not wreck my gig in general. Hey I can all that myself. If you just EQ it flat it is not going to set the world on fire. But take off the highs and adjust the bottom down, add some reverb not a lot, you got a kick drum. I keep it in the background volume wise. You can lightly tap for ballads, or get on it for some rock. The thing is don't over play it. If you normally tap your foot while you play its a natural. Also you can heel and toe tap on it. Of course if you stand and play it won't be your weapon of choice. It is very well designed and built. Comfortable to play.

Buyer Beware - It Will Die On You
After doing a ton of research on the web and watching countless review videos comparing various stomp pedals, I purchased the Wazinator DropKick to enhance the sound of my acoustic duo with that kick drum flavor. I will say upfront, that the Dropkick was exactly what I was looking for...out of the box it is built like a tank, looks nice, is easy to use and sounded incredible, with a deep bass kick that brings songs like Folsom Prison to a new level when done acoustically. All of that said, I cannot recommend that any working musician purchase this product due to the high price, the potential for it to "wear out" and the terrible customer service offered (actually not offered) by this company. The problem with these types of pedals is that because they are analog and contain a small speaker used in reverse as a microphone inside the pedal, a year's worth of stomping on them will ultimately wear them out, which was the case with my unit. One night at a gig all was good, the pedal was kicking and then in the middle of a song it just started making a horrible scratching sound with each tap of the foot. Ok, I get these things happen so I got on the Wazinator website wrote them a polite message through their own support form asking for their help/advice on how to fix it and was ghosted...I have never heard a word back from the company. Not cool for a $250+ piece of equipment. So I start looking on Amazon and see that they offer a "repair kit" for the Dropkick (which by offering tells me that they expect these to wear out). Rather than re-upping for another $250 pedal, I purchased the repair kit and it was junk. Yes, it looks like the parts that are in the original, but there are no instructions, you have to read the product description on the Amazon listing to figure out that it requires special contact cement to install, and once I had it all replaced and went to screw the cover back on as the last step, I realized that the speaker in the repair kit is too big to be able to put the lid back on, so it doesn't even fit the unit. I returned the repair kit to Amazon and would recommend that users do not buy this kit as it is wishful thinking that you can get your pedal working again. Bottom line - The Wazinator is amazing out of the box and I'm sure all the reviewers you see glorifying its performance are also probably just taking it out of the box as well and not putting it under the stresses of regular gigging. I am not typically the type to take the time to write reviews, but in this case with $250 spent on a product that failed, no response from customer service for a product that sells at a significant premium to others on the market, and then a poor experience with the "repair kit" that is offered on Amazon as a fix, I would advise anyone in the market for a stomp kick pedal to avoid this one.

Great sound
The Wazinator does exactly what you want it to. Great sound and control. EQ the signal at your mixer for the perfect ‘thump’ you’re looking for, then marvel at the control you have by varying the impact pressure of your foot. Hit it lightly, get a light sound. Hit it hard, and be rewarded with a solid THUMP. Great musical tool that is built to last. Love it.

Great sound, very compact
This Wazinator does exactly as promised. Good deep bass kick sound. Very compact size. Looks sturdy. Volume varies depending on how hard you kick it. I can hit it with either ball of foot or heel and get slightly different sound and volume. Doesn't require a battery. Of course the sound can't replace a true bass drum but for the cost, size and convenience, it is an excellent choice. Tip: plug into a bass amp or PA to appreciate full dynamic range; it doesn't sound so great through my guitar amp.

Just awesome!
This pedal is awesome. It’s become a regular part of my gigs. Best drunk purchase I’ve ever made. Lol! Changed my entire sound for the better. It takes a while to learn to play it on time with everything else your doing but once you catch on it’s a beauty. I actually Run it through a 10 band EQ on my pedal board which enables me to change the sound of it for different rooms.

Really well constructed and very easy on the foot/leg
Really solidly made and very loud. The target area is large so even without looking you never miss it. Excellent stomp

Horrible Now!
I was very happy at first as it had a nice sound, then at an important show the nice sound simply turned into a click...... horrible. At the show we spent time changing cords, adjusting the PA and everything we could do.... still just a click. I can't even sell this, I take around a $300.00 hit for this junk! It would be nice to even get something back. Even if this was fixed, I wouldn't trust it. Save your money!!!
