Novodon Merino Wool Pressing Mat 22" x 60" 100% Wool Pressing Mat for Quilting and Ironing Mat

I have purchased smaller wool mats that I really love in the past from another vendor and use a lot so I decided I would try this full size . A friend made a rectangle wooden press board that fit over my regular size ironing board and the mat lays on top of that . I am a quilter and this mat presses seams flat and I love that I can iron a quilt top or piece of fabric that is 60” long or a nice tablecloth , the carry bag and iron silicon rest is just a plus as I can travel with my projects . Performs as it should , no odor but you need to iron on a wool setting and not hot cause you will burn the mat . I expect to be using this mat for many more years to come !

I really like this mat, but it was just too big for my usage. I should’ve ordered the smaller one. Otherwise I thought this it was a fantastic wall pressing mat.

I love these ironing mats! This is my second one and they are so nice and useful. You don’t have to get your ironing board out as it’s great for quilt and small projects

This product is fantastic. Perfect size and I love the case with one exception. It is really hard to get the mat rolled tight enough to get back into the carry bag. It’s doable, but I am saving the string it was originally wrapped in. Maybe in product design you could come up with a better solution to keep the mat rolled tight enough to get back into the bag. It’s like someone couldn’t or wouldn’t think this far in product design. Don’t let this stop you from purchasing…The product is great! Just needs a little tweaking. I suggest a better strap to hold the rolled mat in place so it will stay in the bag. The string that it comes rolled in is not a permanent solution. I’m keeping it (because the actual mat is perfect for what I want). I will make my own strap, probably out of webbing and ad D ring because I expect to store this between projects and I don’t want it to get dusty.

I LOVE this pressing mat!!! It doesn't have an odor when it gets wet. It's thick. It works so well making my ironing that much easier when I'm ironing yards and yards of fabric at one time. The only issue I had was getting the ends to stay unrolled - that took some steam and heavy weights but I finally got it done.

Love it, but my cats did too! Product did have a "smell" to it when it arrived. Figured it was in the plastic for a while...let if air out for a day--it was fine. Size is perfect for travel or just placing on top of a table for a quick iron of quilt/craft projects. Would purchase again or even give as a gift. NOTE: my cats loved it too and wanted to use it for a scratch pad, understandingly so, I now put if away where they can't get to it when I'm finished with it.

This works amazing. There is no smell when ironing at all. The size and price was perfect for my sewing space. Great product!

I was looking forward to this Wool Pressing Mat as I had heard so much about it. When it arrived today it was not packaged as in the preview of the product, it was packaged just in celophane bag inside another bag. I unpacked it and on one side was light brown debrie, not much, but that should not be there, for me to pick out. The Mat has a chemical smell to it when I pressed a fabric square. It does the job, but the smell is bad.

Top notch pressing mat, and no wooly odour. However - and this was my mistake - a water barrier is imperative. I used the mat on my cutting board, used a steam iron, and left the mat on the table overnight. Of course, the water from the mat damaged my cutting mat.

Thick and perfect!
