I believe they both have pressure control but the pcsr I believe had anti back flow as well. The anti backflow feature prevents water from draining out of the head if it is downhill from others when the valve shuts off. It saves a lot of money over time if you have that application. Call rain bird to confirm. **Q: how far do these reach?** A: Depends on your water pressure and the number of heads on the zone. Mine reach about 25’. On some heads I’ve adjusted the front screw and get a little less range but a nice mist spray. **Q: Can you unscrew top portion of the sprinkler head and use that without the bottom portion? I have some heads that have extensions that are too long.** A: No you can't.
