It works... kind of. It's a very thin metal that can easily break when tightening down terminals. There aren't any issues with conductivity when not broken though so I can't really give this a lower rating. It's very much a you get what you paid for, but it still does its job. It prevents wires from spreading out/fraying everywhere when plugging them into blocks or amps. I'll continue using this but I wouldn't feel comfortable using this for anything power hungry, like either as your main 0 AWG power line going into a distro block, or even a sub that's 500w RMS. But is perfectly fine for my 180w sub and 200w amp.

Works excellent for amplifier main cables. Most amps have a large opening for the power and ground with a crimping screw to hold the cable. Modern amp cables are very delicate and strands brake off easily and they don’t hold a crimp well. The Ferrell keeps the cable captured during crimping and prevents it from splintering and come loose.

Did a copper test and it passed.

Not real copper. Pretty weak and thin. A mess of sizes. If your using it to crimp onto a wire. Itll just come right off. But if your using it to crimping and stick into something that will tighten down onto it then it'll work for that. And it won't split or break. Im using it for 8 gauge power wire to go into a fuse holder and it tightens down fine onto the wire without breaking and keeps my wire together. . I dont really like the quality though

Grabbed this as it's always useful to have different sets of crimping tools for wire when it comes to car repair, hobbyist needs, car or home audio, and things like that which is where these ferrules shine - if you need to connect up stranded wire and you don't want stray connections, a ferrule is a good choice to compress the wire into a single connector. It's also great for protecting the wire itself to prevent fraying, and are invaluable for wiring with terminal blocks. The crimper is the star in this set, though - it is heavy duty and very well made, and it crimps the ferrules quite well and equally on all sides, without any issues with compression. Even if (when) I run out of these ferrules, this tool won't get replaced. Definitely recommend.
