Solid build, shelves are sturdy with no bending thanks to the artsy gussets. I used my own 2" screws to tie into wall studs on of the two brackets, drywall. Molys that came with them are rather lame. You might want to use something else for drywall.

Love these brackets. They were easy to install and are durable.

I wanted to build some shelves for my kittens to climb around on but since they would be out in the main part of the house and I was using raw white oak boards from my dad’s property, I wanted them to look like nice shelves in general not just “cat shelves.” I love how these look with the white oak and they are nice and sturdy. I personally installed them into the studs as I never trust the cheap drywall anchors that come with these kinds of things and they are holding up great. My kittens, especially the little gray one in all the pictures, go nuts jumping around on them and they are holding up strong. The cats love them and they look great. I’ll probably eventually buy more to use elsewhere in the house because I just love how nice they look. (Pictures feature my girls Piper, the little gray, and Wren, the tabby. Not pictured is my larger gray boy Dipper who also enjoys jumping up and down from the shelves).

I’ve purchased these unique shelf brackets several times for two different homes. Anyone can make a black bracket. These are visually interesting and sturdy enough for an average wall shelf. They’ll work with cottage core, farmhouse, log cabin, and many other styles.
