Review: Really good quality thick mat - I love my Pilates mat. Lovely and thick, and stops me feeling the cold in my bones. Lovely and cushioned for all my side back and front exercises. My back feels better for it. I’ve had it 18 months now and it’s still like new. I’m extremely pleased!!
Review: I was looking for a new yoga mat because I have multiple injuries and needed something with extra cushion, and this one absolutely fit the bill. It is true to size and actually has a full 1 inch thickness, which makes a big difference. I am much more comfortable now when doing yoga and floor exercises. The included carrying strap works well and makes it easy to store, although once it is rolled up, it is noticeably larger in diameter than a standard yoga mat, but that is expected with the extra thickness. The only downside is that it had a very strong chemical odor when I first unpackaged it. I would definitely recommend letting it air out outside if you can. I did not have outdoor space, so I left it in a separate room with the door closed, and the smell faded after about a day. If you are sensitive to chemical smells, just be prepared for that part. Other than that, it has been great. Supportive, cushioned, and exactly what I needed.

**Q: How much does the material flex during movements?**
A: It’s super squishy and is very difficult to maintain balance and poses as there is not enough support. It’s like trying to do yoga in a bounce house.

**Q: Does this mat wear and tear from feet doing exercises like mountain climbers etc. ?**
A: Mine literally tore from being stepped on. It is not very sturdy and I would not use it as an exercise mat.

**Q: Can it be folded into half?**
A: Its flexible enough to be folded in half but I wouldn’t recommend it because you would create a crease that could rip the mat over time

**Q: My mom is requesting a new yoga mat for Christmas because the one she has “squeaks” lol Does anyone happen to know if this one is noisy or quiet**
A: Perfectly quiet. No squeaks at all. I have to add that the mat is very firm. If that’s what you want then I think you’ll be happy.

Retrospec Solana Yoga Mat 1" Thick w/Nylon Strap for Men & Women - Non Slip Excercise Mat for Yoga, Pilates, Stretching, Floor & Fitness Workouts, Black This is a super thick mat. 1" means the roll is giant. Compare that to my yoga mat picture which is a more standard 1/4" mat. So be prepared to haul a significantly bigger mat around . I will say this is very light and not a nuisance to carry at all. The dual elastic band is easy to wrap the mat into a roll and carry. Ideal for people who want extra cushioning for the knees and elbows. Really comfortable product
