I was expecting a very clean and crystal clear pitcher but instead I open the box and remove the air bags and as I inspect the product, the bottom of the pitcher was dusty and the inside itself had like a musty coat, the exterior bottom was not very clean either. It somewhat looked as if it was on display at my local discount store, I was actually worried; based on the presentation that the gift reciever was going to think that I bought it at the said discount store. ### ⭐⭐ Great pitcher, horrible lid *by M***O on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 7, 2017* I get really cranky when someone takes the time to make a fab product and then just completely and utterly fails on a tiny detail at the end. It reminds me of college when I would spend all this time writing a paper and then at 6:00 am right before class I would write ... "and other stuff happened I'm too tired to think the end."This pitcher is a strong, solid glass that doesn't seem like it will chip or break easily. It is easy to grip, fits into the fridge door well and was a great price. The lid is total junk that doesn't keep spills from happening, doesn't seal out smelly fridge smells and will break quickly. The lid is made of thin plastic marginally stronger than the pieces of plastic they put in pizza boxes to keep the lids from smashing down. I just don't see a point in a pitcher without a functional lid. Especially a nice pitcher. The top is a bit tricky if you have cut fruit in the pitcher. If you have cut fruit in the pitcher and turn the top in to the pour position it will dribble onto the counter/table surface. I found however if I pull the cap out a little while pouring, all of the liquid goes into the glass. I don't think there would be an issue if the pitcher were filled with just liquid. I've had cut fruit in water in the fridge for two days now and it has stayed fresh.
