Hi, can you buy a replacement plug for this item?

Not that I’m aware of but I had a different one before that stopped working and it seemed the plug was actually working as the settings was lighting up but the pad wasn’t heating. If that’s the problem you’ve got I’d say it’s not the plug?

Does it have to be plugged in while you use it?

Yes, to appreciate it, it's better left on, letting it warm up and then unplugging it, it only stays "warm" 10 mins or so, I set it for an hour on a smart plug

I use it on my lap with a blanket on top to maximise the warmth. Excellent product.

Would this be any good as a heated mat? I have arthritis &, I'm looking for something to stop my feet getting cold.

I use the pad on my lap with a blanket on top to maximise the warmth. Brilliant product for this. Not sure how successful using it to warm feet would be as it can’t be folded.
