Up and running.
MY old cap was only 2 yrs old. It failed. This was a 10 minute swap out and got us back to cool air in no time. Read your existing cap label, buy the same parameter cap. Save $300 HVAC service charge. Cost me about $18.

Replace this part, not the whole pump
Fix your pool pump for cheap! My older pool pump died 3 years ago. The pool supply company wanted hundreds of dollars to repair it. I ordered this part, popped it in and it fired right up again. Just make sure you follow all safety steps before removing the old one, especially discharging it, to avoid getting shocked. Also, make sure you measure correctly and get the same volts, etc.. The first one failed after about 2 years, but still well worth the price of replacing the entire pump.

Great spare part
Keep these on hand, lightening strikes in Florida take them out and can’t live without that AC. Very easy to replace if that’s the only damage, nice to save that expense service call.

45 + 5MFD item was not as described, Amazon indicated the diameter was 1.97 inches or so, actual unit received was 2.3 inches with a actual height of 4 inches. Unit does not directly replace my existing Capacitor so had to use another for a proper fit. The package from manufacturer "Fierre Shann" which the capacitor came in has a picture which does show the proper size but contents were different.

Got home from vacation at the end of August, we were going through a heat wave (32°C+) and walked into a house that was 27°C! – the A/C had stopped working. It was after 5pm on a Friday, so a service call to an HVAC repair tech would’ve cost hundreds of dollars for an after-hours emergency call, plus parts, so instead, I hopped online for a potential solution and there were dozens of videos with exactly my problem: Trane A/C, furnace blowing, no cold air. In every video, the culprit was the capacitor on the compressor. I went out and checked the compressor and sure enough – the capacitor was bulged (I have no tools to test capacitance, so I just went with the commonly-accepted truism that a bulged capacitor is a bad capacitor). Tried a few local brick-and-mortar stores (trying to support local), and they STARTED at $230 and went up from their (and that’s IF they actually had them in stock). So tried a “Hail Mary” by going to Amazon, and I couldn't believe that they had the actual capacitor for less than $20!!! Sold. It was too late for same-day delivery, so we slept with the windows open that night, the capacitor arrived the next day, I turned off the breaker, carefully moved the wires one at-a-time so as not to accidentally cause a short, strapped it in, threw the breaker and………SUCCESS! So a repair of probably $500+ all-in by an HVAC tech, or less than $20 DIY. I’ll take DIY, please. In fact, they were so inexpensive, I then ordered a spare so I won’t be without A/C again.
