Has gagged a few times on large chunks but has never choked or become obstructed. My only problem with these rawhide slices is that occasionally too many of the slices are too thick. In that case my dog will just walk away. **Q: Are these Rawhide?** A: the product pieces are to large no consistency on size. need to be about 1 inch wide not 2 inch or more. **Q: How many slices are in a bag?** A: Just went and opened a new bag and counted 13. They are worth it. I have 2 dogs and they each get one a day at 6:00. They tell me when it's 6:00! **Q: How would you describe the shape of these? Thanks.** A: They are flat strips that range from about 2 to 8 inches long, about 2 inches wide and about 1/4 inch thick. Both of our dogs love them.
