MAYYAYA Brass Shower Shut Off Valve, Flow Control, Handheld/Bidet, Chrome

I bought this as a cheap and easy way to fix a dripping shower head without replacing the whole mixer mechanism. My model of shower is no longer manufactured and would be a pain to replace. Now I have the added step of turning this valve on and off, but it isn't much trouble. When "off" it completely stops the flow of water, unlike some other shutoff valves. It has been working reliably for 18 months.

Very nice heavy chromed brass fitting. This installs between the showerhead pipe and the showerhead or sprayer hose fitting. Standard thread for 1/2 inch pipe. The sliding control knob can be used to regulate pressure from the showerhead, or completely turn off the waterd. (You must be able to reach the shower head to adjust it if installed on the shower pipe.) It could, however, be installed on the end of a shower spray hose just before the spray nozzle, and used by someone who can't reach up, or has to remain seated to shower (possibly elderly or handicapped). Very easy installation and even includes a small roll of teflon tape to place on the screw threads for a water tight seal. Very good product. Easy to install.

Works as intended!

It is very useful for shower environment with heavy water pressure, even more useful if an infant is involved. Quality is good, no water leak after 3 months of usage. One minor setback is the adjustment valve is too sensitive. Careful maneuvering is require to properly adjust water pressure, or one can switch from maximum to shut-off instantly.

This is perfect. Exactly what I wanted. It doesn't leak. It is easy to put on and I cannot live without it. It is so convenient to turn the water on and off quickly. Your bill will go down immensely.

I recently had my bathroom remodeled, and my only disappointment is the new shower has no built-in control for water flow, only temperature. The water itself is either fully on or fully off, with nothing in between. The supplied shower head contained a restrictor that reduced the flow to a mere trickle, so I put my old handheld shower heat, with no restriction, back in its place, but the other extreme wasn't very pleasant, either. This inline flow control valve supplies the otherwise missing piece of the puzzle. I can now adjust the flow to my preference, and simply leave it. There is enough resistance on the sliding control to make precise adjustments very easily. Installation literally took about two or three minutes and required no tools, just a bit of Teflon thread tape. The valve seems to be well constructed, and I am reasonably confident of its longevity. For about the cost of a hamburger, this is a near-perfect solution, as long as you remove and discard the shower head's built-in flow restrictor, if present, before installing the valve.

These work easily. Off and of without the struggle of the push button ones like the junk I bought at HOME DEPOT. No leaks either . Im buying more of these for my properties. Worth the money . Gorgeous CHROME 🤠👌🏻
