This is a really quality crimp tool, comfortable, solid and well balanced. It's kinda luxurious TBH. It wont do all the work for you and it takes some practice and can be a bit fiddly at times to get the doohicky positioned in the right slot (story of my life) but then you squeeze and its perfectly crimped. As far as these things go it's top notch. This is one you can put in your will even if your only intent is to mess with your kids.

These crimpers work real well and have enough different sized dies to accommodate many size wires/pins. You have to use your own judgement on which size die to use, and not 100% follow the size chart that comes with it. So far I've used the crimpers for just the tiny JST XH 2.54mm series pins, and the smallest die was appropriate because it's narrow and matches the pin size. In the first picture you can see each of the 4 dies has a small side, and a larger side. The "dividing line" between the two die halves has to align with the white line in the second picture to properly crimp the wire and insulation in the pin. The insulation is crimped by the larger side of the die. The third picture shows how the pin is placed in the die. If you look closely, you can see the tabs that grip the insulation are seated in the larger side of the die.

Great crimpers, so long as you insert the connector correctly and i the correct size, the ratcheting action ensures that you will have a good crimp. Made working with JST connections a breeze!

Very easy to use and is very affordable. Tip: place the Dupont in the crimp area and then clamp it slowly. From there push the Dupont forward, so that it isn't crimping the tab.

I now have about 6 sets of pin crimpers. 5 of them I hate with a passion because they just suck. I now have one pair that works well and makes crimps even on tiny PH2.0 pins perfectly every time (if I align the pin right) These crimpers are the ones to buy hands down. you need to align the pin properly, if you get it in wrong these will smash the heck out of the little socket with no cares. make sure the pin's connection box is outside the metal close to one click and it holds the pin there while you try and insert the wire. I use a nice big lighted magnifying glass on a stand for this. out of 20 crimps today I messed up 2 and only because I did not make sure the pin was set in the tool right. (PH2.0 is the very tip crimp spot) the dupont connector pins work fantastic in this as well and is the second hole in. I wish I found these a year ago and 5 crimpers ago.

I bought this tool to crimp DuPont connector male pins and female barrels. It takes a little bit of practice to get perfect crimps, but this tool transforms the job from almost impossible with needle nose pliers to making good crimps quickly. The ratchet mechanism helps a lot to gauge the right amount of crimp force. Slowly squeeze until you feel the tool release tension. This tool fits well in hand and has a nice solid quality feel in operation. It is well worth the money to have the right tool for the job. I agree with other reviewers that it would be nice to have some instructions provided with the tool, however there are how-to videos on line.

Does not work well for JST ZH terminals, the jaws are too wide and its way too easy to crush the contact surfaces. Turns out another icrimp tool I had does a better job for those contacts: IWS-3220M. Also, the two halves of the crimper weren't super tight on my set, which meant that the jaws misaligned easily by 1mm or so, making it even harder to crimp normally.

I had almost given up with finding an affordable, easy to use crimping tool, for Dupont plug and socket crimp connectors that provided a crimp as good as the mass produced breadboard jumper wires. If you can get good mass produced jumper wires why bother with a crimping tool, It all about length with longer wires you get problems with the way an electrical circuit will operate. So I like to use commercial jumper wires and tailor them to the length I need for each part of the breadboard circuit. A********* The ratchet allows the tool to hold the crimp pin or socket securely while inserting the wire. Once the tool is fully closed and springs open the crimp pin is easily released unlike other brands and the wire and sheath crimps are showing the same closure as the machine produced crimps, with a similar insulation resistance end to end as machine made crips. The crimp tool is a good fit for my hands and the crimping pressure required to complete the crimp is comfortable for making 20 or 30 crimps at a time. Really glad I bought this tool, Amazons delivery time was also fast.

アマゾンのレビューはいつも半信半疑ですが、価格も高くはないので購入してみました。結果、今までXHやデュポンコネクタは中国駐在時に購入した工具で圧着していて失敗が多かったのですが、この工具にしたら圧倒的に失敗が減りました。ダイスの作りも以下まで使っていた工具よりだいぶ良さそうに見えます。少なくともホビー用途なら（わたくしはホビーユーザーです）十分に満足できると思います。

Very good tool !!! I use it only for crimping JST XH. Only amateurs use Dupont, so I cannot judge if it is suited for the Dupont-style crap.
